Environment Environment is everything around us. It is the visible or invisible surroundings which makes life on earth possible, may it be living or non-living. The environment affects our daily life on earth. There is a life cycle which is to be followed to maintain a proper balance in the environment. But nowadays certain activities of humans lead to an excess imbalance in our nature. Thus, these days it is an important topic to be looked at. There might be an end to all the life in earth if we continue these activities which exploits the nature. We should think about this and moving forward look up to the safety and well-being of future generations. Now when the world is fighting against the COVID-19 epidemic, we have understood the importance of keeping the environment clean and sanitized. Only by keeping our surroundings clean can we hope to reduce the spread of this epidemic that has taken the lives of more than 1 lakh people in the world. Now, there is this question that keeps springing into our mind whenever we discuss about the environment. How do the humans exploit the environment and how can we put an end to it? The answer is obvious. Nowadays, because of science & technology, the world has developed immensely. But there are many demerits included in this development. Due to the busy and advanced life we are leading, the rate of pollution undoubtedly increases. We exploit the nature by dumping non-biodegradable wastes, by releasing poisonous gases and many more of this type of activities. This makes our surroundings impure to such an extent that we cannot trust to even breathe the air outside. Some may think that humans are not entirely responsible for these pollution. But now as we are under lock-down, we can see a clean environment. When we are in the lock down period, after passing of each day, without doing the activities that we usually do, our surroundings are being cleansed to a great extent. This is the solid proof of the activities we do against the nature. To make the environment clean, we should take certain initiatives. Firstly we must vow not dump or burn non-biodegradable wastes. We should keep these in a cover and give it to the authorities to recycle it. We should follow the initiatives made by our government and must not use low grade plastics. We should plant more trees in our surroundings as it will make the air clean. Last but absolutely not the least, we should remember that the safety of our nature is not the responsibility of one but of every single person in this whole wide world. We must move forward with the idea of “Reuse. Reduce. Recycle” and should work for the well-being of the environment.  We should never forget that the world is not only for us to live, but also of many generations to come.
