മലയാളം⧼Colon⧽ Government UPS Kadakkal , is one of the most leading Primary schools in the government sector in Kollam district of Kerala State. The school comes under the Department of General Education under Chadayamangalam sub district and Punalur educational district.A complete English and Malayalam medium school in the government primary sector in Chadayamangalam educational sub district for the first time. The school is situated at a very beautiful place near the famous Kadakkal Devi Temple’, which is one kilometer from Kadakkal Town.

The school is established in 1903. More than Thousand two hundred students are studying in various standards from Pre Primary to Standard Seven. All modern facilities for quality education are available here viz. Computer Lab , Smart class room , well equipped Laboratory and Library with more than five thousand books. Cycle riding practice is being given to all girls in UP section. Kids get computer lessons from the Pre Primary section onwards.

Not only in academic activities but also in co-curricular activities such as Arts, Sports, Work experience and other competitions the school keeps its head high. Science Club, Social Science Club, Mathematics Club , Vidyarangam Club, Ecco Club , Health club, etc are functioning here properly. The school achieved Revenue District level championships at several times for co- curricular activities.
