Little Kites 2024-27 Batch Preliminary Camp

38 children have been registered in LKMS for the entrance exam for the new batch of 2023-26. In order to train them for the entrance exam, a WhatsApp group was formed by joining everyone and previous classes of the Victor's channel related to the exam and other training programs were conducted at the class level. Also a general class was given to all the children who had registered for the examination on Friday 9th June 2023 in the school. The test was conducted on a specially prepared software on the computer. The exam consisted of 20 questions of 30 minutes duration. Aptitude test had questions related to logic and reasoning, programming section, 5,6,7 questions based on ICT textbooks and IT general knowledge.

38 children participated in Little Kites Aptitude Test held on Tuesday 13 June 2023 and 24 passed the aptitude test. This year, admissions are going on for the 24 seats allotted to the school. Result uploaded in LKMS system. The exam included various questions in IT technology general knowledge, animation and programming sections. Aptitude test result came on 24th June. The result was printed and posted on the notice board. Class 8 students were informed.

Distribution of Identity Card to Little Kites Members

SDPHS The Little Kites IT Club of the High School distributed KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education) identity cards to the students (2023_26 batch). Those who participate in all the activities of Little Kites, India's largest student IT association, will get an ID card. 26 children of the 2023_26 batch of SDP High School are the members of Little Kites IT Club. The formal distribution of the identity card was done by Headmaster EH Govindha Bhat. Little Kites Master Pradeep, and Little Kites Mistress Sowmya were also present on the said occasion.

Little Kites 2023-26 Batch Preliminary Camp

One day preliminary camp of little kites batch 2023-26 was conducted on 12/07/2023, saturday at it lab. The class started at exactly 9.30am. Kite master Pradeep k welcomed the camp which was Inaugurated by Head Master EH Govindha Bhat. The program was presided over by School Manager N Shankaranarayan Bhat. Senior assistant Shashikumar P congratulated.

The Class was conducted by kite master of SVHSS Miyapadavu Lakshmeesha sir who received special training from kite. Little kite Mistress Sowmya M thanked everyone. The children were divided into 5 groups using words related to advanced technology in order to arouse children's curiosity in technology. Then various activities were given on group basis and the groups were awarded points. Children were introduced to various topics like animation, little kites objectives, game using scratch three, robotics, etc. Videos were screened to give an understanding of the impact of internet on daily life, the potential of information and communication technology and the relevance of the project.

Through a video presentation, the children were introduced to technology-based devices used in daily life. Each section dealt with understanding the impact of advancements in the field of artificial intelligence. The basic understanding of the Little Kites project was imparted to the students through the preliminary camp.  The training program ended at exactly four o'clock.

ಶ್ರೀ ದುರ್ಗಾಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಾಲೆ ಧರ್ಮತ್ತಡ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ  ದಿನಾಂಕ 12/07/2023 ಶನಿವಾರದಂದು ಲಿಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ಸ್ ನ 8ನೇ ತರಗತಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಿಲಿಮಿನರಿ ತರಗತಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಮೀಯದದವು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಲಿಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ಸ್ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಲಕ್ಮೀಷ  ಅವರು ತರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲಿಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ಸ್ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವನ್ನು ಸವಿವರವಾಗಿ  ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಗುಂಪುಗಳಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ನೂತನ ಆಟ, ಆನಿಮೇಷನ್ , ಸ್ಕ್ರಾಚ್ , ರೋಬೋಟ್ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಶಾಲಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎನ್ ಶಂಕರನಾರಾಯಣ ಭಟ್ ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಇ ಎಚ್ ಗೋವಿಂದ ಭಟ್ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಶಶಿಕುಮಾರ್ ಶುಭಾಶಂಸನೆಗೈದರು. ಲಿಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಲಿಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ ಮಿಸ್ಟ್ರೆಸ್ ಸೌಮ್ಯ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು.

ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲಿಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ಸ್ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವನ್ನು ಸವಿವರವಾಗಿ  ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

Little Kites Routine Classes

Little's routine classes are conducted every Wednesday from 4 pm to 5 pm. The activities to be completed as per the module are also done on Saturdays which are not working days. Classes are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month for Class VIII students. Activities related to high-tech equipment setup, graphic designing, animation, Malayalam computing, media and documentation, and block programming are conducted in the 8th class.

Media and Documentation Training

On Saturday, December 23, 2023, 8th graders who are members of Little Kites at SDP high school were given media and documentation training in news writing, news filming, capturing images using DSLR cameras, adding those images to the computer, video editing using KDyn Live, audio recording using Audacity, and then In this training, the children learned to complete the video documentation by incorporating these files. Camera training was given by Kite master Pradeep.

Parent conference

A meeting of parents of Little Kites children of 8th class was held on Thursday 10/08/2023 at 3pm. Kite Mistress Sowmya teacher took the class on what Little Kites is, its objectives, school activities and curriculum. This meeting helped to make the parents aware of the various activities of Little Kites Children's School.

Master Trainer Priya Ch Visit to SDPHS

Manjeshwara sub District Master Trainer Priya Ch visited the School and evaluated the activities of the Little Kites team. He congratulated the Little Kites children for their excellent performance in the school activities.

Animation (Class -1)

On 9-6-2024, the first class of 9th class started at morning 9 o'clock. After showing the 2D and 3D animation videos, there was a discussion about the science behind the animation and the differences between the two types of animation. The children were given the assignment to come up with a story and prepare a storyboard to prepare an animated film and then split up. 2D animation is introduced to children in the early stages of training. Kite Master and Mistress took classes.

In the academic year 2024-25, routine classes for Little Kites children started in the month of June itself. The ninth graders were introduced to animation activities were introduced. The children are asked to make an animation using Tubi Tube to test their knowledge of how to make animation learned last year. The teacher gives necessary instructions. The children's works are evaluated.

Animation Class-2

14-6-2023 If the animation is to be perfect, then the sound must be added and the animation will be perfect. Animation Class - 3

class held on 17-6-2023, students are asked to make an animation using the newly introduced open tunes software. Necessary instructions and help are provided. The teachers evaluate the children's work. how to add background image to open toons, how to add frame the image, how to save the animation we prepared as mp4 video, explained to the children through the projector, with the help of teachers, children learned how to handle open toons, an animation Prepared. The children were made to understand that they can make pictures using Opentance.

Mobile App (Class -1)

03-7-2024 Today's classes started by checking the prior knowledge of how to make computer games, what software is needed to make them and how to make them. We are asked to do the mobile games we learned last year. Many children had forgotten. The children created games with the help they needed. Today's class was concluded by evaluating the work of each group.

Mobile App (Class -2)

On 10-7-2024, the children were made aware of the platforms available for making mobile apps. LK Mistress Sowmya M explained how to make an app called Body Mass Index by introducing the software called MIT App Inventor and opened a MIT App Inventor and explained its operation. Kite Msiress Sowmya teacher told the children how to design BMI calculator and how to make each app attractive. This class was an opportunity to learn about the various platforms for building mobile apps and to get familiar with the user interface components of the MIT App Inventor software.
