കനകമല

Kanakamala is very famous historical place in Peringalam Grama Panchayath. It is believed that Kanaka Maharshi lived here in a cave for praying lord Ram. He has collected many valuables including precious stones and gold to offer the God. But Lord Sri Ram did not visit the place, The Maharshi hide the treasures be there hoping his lord will came one day. During the British period excavations were made and the presence of gold was seen. In modern age Guru Nithya Chaithanya Yadhi made Kanaka mala a centre of East West University of Brahma Vidya. Guru used to remain here at least two weeks in every year.
