Social Science Club Social Science Club functions here under the name ‘Geo Club’ to instill interest in the students in Social Science. We have 150 students as its members. We celebrate national as well as political days of importance like the Independence day, Republic day, Ozone day and Human rights day in a very colourful manner. Quiz programmes are conducted class wise and in general to increase the general knowledge of the children. One of our students secured the first place, trophy and the cash award in news reading competition conducted in the district & state level. We proudly notice that our students continue to secure prizes in the ‘teaching aid, map location, speech competition and philatelic collection’. Library & Reading Room We have a well maintained library that has a good collection of books on Science, Technology, Literature and almost 13,000 books that help the students in their academic field. There is a well furnished reading room which enables 200 students to sit and read at a stretch. The teachers and the students together have contributed about 1000 books to the school library on the basis ‘my one book to my school library’ policy. Modern facilities like LCD projector, Edusat, Television, computer etc. make studies interesting for the students. Science Club & Science Lab Science Club & Science Lab functions here to inculcate interest in Science & Technology. The Science Lab has all the favourable facilities to make the study of science very interesting. The students are taken to the Lab to conduct experiments on the topics they have studied in the classes. Microscope, Potentiometer, Kipp’s apparatus, spring balance, common balance etc. help them to do the experiences. Students of the science club conduct ‘science quiz’ as part of its varied activities. Further they prepare a science magazine by name ‘Sasthra Jalakam’ every year. They used to prepare science dramas and secure prizes. Science Lab is spacious enough as to take classes even.
