==English Fest==

On the grounds of BEATS, one day theatre fest with a successful attrmpt to raise the level and skills of the students in global language English was conducted. Started with the holy prayer, the English club convener – Najiya delivered a wonderful welcome speech on behalf of the whole teachers and students. Respected H.M Koya sir presided the function, succeeded by the inauguration by our honorable PTA president Mr. V.P Salim H.M gave an amazing speech on positive encouragement towards English language learning and PTA president’s speech focused the importance of theatre workshops in English classrooms. The theatre campaign provides opportunities for students in fostering creativity and performances. Major focus of the program was given to skit, soliloquy, reader’s theatre, role play, choregraphy etc… Classroom products were also exhibited in connection with the fest. The first item on the stage was soliloquy by Ayisha Nidha (VII). She performed as the character Polya of chapter Polya (VII Std). Next was a dramatic presentation of A Little Girl and The Umbrella (Oru kudayum kunju pengalum) by Haidha and group who represented the collaborative approach towards the success of the program. Representing the linguistic aspects of the students, next on the stage was a readers theatre (clever ZCarla) presented by VI std students. Next was a heart touching performance lead by Rincy and her friends (VIIth). They dramatized “The Wooden Cup” It was continued by soliloquy performed by Vth STD Vishnu. After that shinas and group presented a skit “A snake in the Grass” took from VIIth STD syllabus. Then childred were part for lunch at 1.45 pm. Noon interval followed it and was replenished at 2.15pm. Yhen the audience were entertained by various programs like skit – Wooden Cup by Naja and group, skit by Fiza and group (VI std), choreography by VIth std childred and skit by Fidha and group (V) etc. The audience gave their complete support and claps for most of the programs signifying their enjoyment and satisfication. At 4 pm we put an end to this function. The success of the program signifies that the students have creativity, determination and great interest in their language and theatre skills.
