K.P.E.S. High School is situated in a village of Kozhikode district. Majority of the students come from the lower economic strata whose parents are farmers and farm workers with low income .It was a part of the I.T @ School program that the Computer lab was setup in our School in the year 2002

 

             We have introduced EDUSAT network and VICTERS Channel in our School. We have already set up a multimedia room where students can attend virtual classes. The platform of I.T. Education completely shifted from Windows to non-proprietary software Linux. We have developed resource C.D for the students of 8 th, 9 th and 10 th by with the assistance of the subject experts. Every year we are conducting I.T. fair in our School to encourage I.T. initiatives among students and public.. We have well maintained web site created by students and teachers. The results of the examinations are posted in our web site. Blood group of the students who are willing to donate blood is also included in our web site. We update our site regularly. S.S.L.C. students of our School have attained a cent percent win in information technology for the 6 years. Well-trained 34 teachers of our school are ready to attend the I.T. needs of the school and villagers of Kayakkody.  

         The school has been the overall champions in the district level I.T. Festival for the past 5 years .The School has got best I.T. project award during the year 2005-2006 and 2006-2007,2007-2008,2008-2009 at the State level I.T. festival. Teachers of the school also have been winning awards in multimedia presentation at the state and district level. The School has got Second with A grade in I.T. Project and third with A grade in Web designing at the state I.T. fest held at Techno Park Thiruvananthapuram. In the year 2008-2009.
