COVID-19 Covid - 19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered corona virus. In latin corona means 'crown'. It is a pandomic disease. It spread from countries to countries. Corona virus leads to disease named 'SARS COV2'. It's symptoms are fever, tiredness, dry cough and difficulty breathing. This disease more effected in older people, children and people with other medical conditions. This virus first reported in China, Wuhan. The scientist who discovered the corona disease named it as 'Noval Corona Virus'. 'Noval' means 'New'. The first case reported in 2019 Dec 31. WHO named it COVID-19. In India the first case reported in Kerala in Thrissur. Second case in Kasargod. Kerala declared it as state disaster. Kerala health department's campaign to control the disease is 'Break the Chain'. Helpline is Disha1056. These days it spread to many states. First death in India reported in Karnataka. Karnataka's campaign is 'Namaste Over Handshake'. India declared the disease as Notified Disaster. These days our country is in lockdown. In 2020 Mar 22 our country pass through Janata Curfue. Lockdown started in Mar 25. India announced 1 crore dollar as contribution in SAARC COVID-19 Emergency Fund. Whats app started 'Corona virus information hub' in association with WHO, UNICEF, UNDP. Face Book also started program associated with UN and WHO. Outside Asia Corona first reported in France. Corona most dangerously effected in Europian countries. In India Hydroxy chloroquine an antimalarial drug is used for this disease. Many countries trying to discover new vaccine. When a disease is new, there is no vaccine until one is developed. It can take a number of years for a new vaccine to be developed. Stay home, when going out side use mask, wash hands with soap, use alcohol based sanitizers. Thus we can control it's spreading.
