Different activities were organised by the English club as part of improving the standard of English. The main aim was to focus attention on the communicative skill of students. Inorder to create interest and confidence in this language, students were asked to read english books and prepare a review and present it in the class. A class assembly in english was conducted by the members of the english club which included thought for the day, story, groupsong etc. Students were asked to present a speech on any topic of their choicce. Each student got many chances to communicate their ideas in English. These kinds of activities enabled the students to overcome their fear of english language and communicate effectively in simple English understanding its importance.
