He started off from a
deep sleep in her womb.
Listened to her lullabies
as the days got veiled.
She lulled unceasingly
as he travelled along
the seemingly endless road,
unaware of the impending doom.
He started composing
a requiem for her.
Perhaps in return for the
sweet lullaby she gifted.
Nevertheless, she forgave him.
Still he never repented,
but went on performing
his unforgivable sins.
He ceased not.
Just kept on singing.
But it got muted
as her lullaby
turned into a requiem.
