WE DIDN'T HEAR...

Hopping through the grass
I went
        to the fields
Where i had found
my friends;
The rain,the breeze,the stream,
The calm blue sky

But now
I see
The storm,the flood,
The downpours
And the scary waves
reaching for us

They spoke to us
       we didn't hear
They solicited
       we didn't hear
At last
       they spoke loud
and we heard
we are still listening
             listening....
