"Words Not just a bridge, but a badge too !
Ever since the dawn of man,the most immediate of all the urges he felt,was to communicate;to translate the jumble of thoughts,that ran in and out of his head to his fellow beings.This pressing need gave birth to what we see as inscriptions and came drawings of ancient era.
But,if one was to ask,which was the most powerful of all the myrid and mighty tools ever devoloped by the human brain,then all of the great thinkers and scientists alike,will give it away for the evolution of language to be precise 'words'. the significant evolution of language and the spirit of progress it has given way is one of the most outstanding milestones of human history.
No,doubt,why men of words line longer in our hearts than those that invented life sustaining apparatus.Words are the basic units of human procedure,as second is to time.
Over time,cimilisations flourised,empires were build,and some withslood the test of time,whereas others,met the dust,great wars were fought,calamities came,and many more happened.Yet,what bound all of us togethe? what was the key reson,our culture was preserved and passed on?.we should'nt be reluctant to look into the answer.
It has baffled many minds,the power of words.The intricauses it can simultaneously carry and yet look and sound so subtle.This unabashed authourity that empowers a human being,comes to him right from the infant years.The impressions fostered then are like wet cement,that decides whether it will be a sculpture,perfected into finesse,or just a thing of common place.
Never has been the human mind more recepture,than in his childhood.This is the prime reason why,elders are adviced to speak to children with proper sense of language and prespective.We are indeed shaping up a future leader. Coming back to the power of words,another vital role played by these units of languages.whether it be spanish or the 'desi telugu',is that,words inculcate values. Futher more it teaches us the basciethics,and emotions,that makes us just more than average yet advanced breed of monkeys!It is this distinction and not any other nuclear weapon that puts human being right on top of the world oder.
Speaking of words,one is forced to look down,to those devoid of this luxuary.Yes the ones we call illiterate! What struggle would it be for those who can't help,but fail to find complete expression of their thoughts!Alas,how lucky we are!. Norman vincent peale,one of the greatest thinkers and motivational speaker to ever walk on earth,describes words as the most strongest force,and can put down the workings of human mind. Psyhycology have made it a point,that the daily,vocabulary of ours,the wordsthst we let out of our mouth,hads a great deal to speakabout us, and who we are.An old adage,comes flying in never judge a book by its cover".
Sometimes an interviewer can be won over by flattering vocabulary,than the expensive tuxedos and armain suits.So words matter!
In todays world of digital life,with smart phones and dumb people!,we often encounter,those eerie silences that leaves us withouht anything to speak.
The modern psyche,has lost its interest in conversations.Words,very often are not spoken out.No word is ever truely empowered unless said.Today tenting mania,has produced a bunch of derelicts,who fail to find amusement in the daily social uses encountered.
Many of todays youngsters,float across the social shelter,with blank looks on their face,as if on autopilot!
Looking back in history,flipping those pages, we find that every leader who changed the world who has touched many hearts and moned millions,were men of great words.
Be it Gandhi,Tagore,Nehru,or even the prime minister Modi,all of them seems to have,unlocked the key strategy to control, to change people.They chose words they choose to speak it right in the face of their oppressors.Never deterring,never shaking. These great ideals exemplified by a Gandhi and a Buddha speak enough what and how much can 'words' bold a man.
From an individual point of view, 'words' have this ommpotent power to develop one's personality. Whether you are just a kid or an adult, it does'nt matter as long as you are empowered with the right ideas and values, the world will listen to you, provided you have a good language and prudence in selecting words.
"A word said, and a stone thrown " never comes back is a very popular saying. And so it does it underline the magnitude of care , one is to take in handling with this precious, yet powerful weapon. It can reap roses, or cut hands, provided, you weild it well.
All is said, and done about the virtue of words. We human beings are unaware of what they can do and the paramount effect words can bring an overheard broken line of speech, a sentence read on a poster. All that is enough to spark ideas and change lives.
Wise are the ones, that have learned to manoveare, to master this art. If you have'nt then do it at once.For words are the ways that we make,as we go ahead.They are the beaming torch,that has always shown the right path.Thanks to Indian culture,our sanskrit,does not have a single word of abuse to its credit!So Mind Your Words!for they can be your friend and foe!
