തിരുമല ദേവസ്വം ഹൈസ്കൂൾ കൊച്ചിയിലെ ജി.എസ് .ബി സമുദായത്തിന്റെ അഭിമാനസ്തംഭമാണ് .വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സേവനോത്സുകയുടെ പ്രത്യക്ഷ ഉദാഹരണമാണ്
സമുദയാങ്ങങ്ങളുടെ സാമൂഹ്യപരവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസപരവും മതപരവുമായ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റുന്നതിനായി തിരുമലദേവ സ്വത്തിൽ സൗജന്യമായി വേദ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ പഠിക്കുന്നതി നുള്ള സംവിധാനം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കാലക്രമേണ പ്രാദേശിക ഭാഷയായ മലയാളവും പഠിപ്പിക്യുന്നതിനായി ഒരു ആശാനെയും നിയമിച്ചു.ശ്രീ വെങ്കടാചലപതിയുടെ അനുഗ്രത്തോടെയും അന്നത്തെ മാനേജിംഗ് അധികാരിയായ ശ്രീ.ആർ.എസ്.ഹരി ഷേണായി അവർകളുടെ പ്രയത്നഫലമായും കൊല്ല വര്ഷം 1063 കന്നി ഒന്നാം തീയതി (A D 1887 ) വിജയദശമി ദിവസം തിരുമല ദേവസ്വം വിദ്യാശാല എന്നാ പേരിൽ ഒരു ആംഗലേയ നാട്ടുഭാഷ വിദ്യാലയം പടിഞ്ഞാറെ അഗ്രശാലയിൽ പ്രവർത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചു .ശ്രീ കെ പരമേശ്വരയ്യയായിരുന്നു ആദ്യത്തെ ഹെഡ്‍മാസ്റ്റർ .1894 ഇൽ ഇത് മിഡിൽ സ്കൂൾ ആയും 1899 ഇൽ ഹൈസ്കൂളായും ഉയർത്തപ്പെട്ടു. 1931 ഇൽ സ്കൂൾ പൊതു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പിന്റെ പരിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. സ്കൂളിന്റെ കനകജൂബിലി ആഘോഷം 1940 ഇൽ കൊണ്ടാടി. വജ്ര ജൂബിലി ആഘോഷം 1954 ലും കൊണ്ടാടി .1967 ഇൽ പ്ലാറ്റിനം ജൂബിലി ആഘോഷിച്ചു . 1987 ഇൽ സ്കൂളിന്റെ ശതവാർഷികം സമുചിതമായി ആഘോഷിച്ചു.
ഇന്ന് ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ 30 ഡിവിഷനുകളിലായി 926 വിദ്യാർതികൾ പഠിച്ചുവരുന്നു.യോഗ്യതയും അർപ്പണ മനോഭാവവും ഉള്ള അധ്യാപകരുടെ പരിശ്രമത്താൽ മികച്ച വിജയ ശതമാനം കൈവരിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നു .
"വിദ്യാധനം സർവ്വധാനാത് പ്രധാനം" എന്നാ മഹത് വാക്യം ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട് ഈ സരസ്വതീക്ഷേത്രം മട്ടാഞ്ചേരിയുടെ യശസ്‌തംഭമായി ഉയർന്നു നില്കുന്നു.

The Balajana Sakhyam of TDHS Mattancherry is involved in many social activitiesBlind Day was observed by the students including NCC and SPC of TDHS Mattancherry inorder to express solidarity with the blind and to develop empathy for them. The students tied their eyes and walked through the streets for about a kilometer blind folded.16 Close circuit cameras are set up in the school campus to ensure the safety of the students and the institution. The Cameras were installed as per the instruction of the School Protection Group. NCC, SPC , former students and the staff contributed.Childrens' Day was celebrated with the participation of all the students of the school.The students of the institution participated in the CPR awareness campaign conducted by IMA at Nedumbasserry.The students participated in the cycle rally organised by the Archaeological Survey of India to create awareness of the need of a Clean CityThe students of TDHS participated in the Vimukthi Campaign of Excise DepartmentThe School collected materials for distributing in the flood affected areas in August 2019A Food Fest was organised by UP students. Students conducted a mass run with Deepa ShikhaThe materials collected for Flood Relief was transported to the affected places on 16 August 2019. Sri Maxi KJ, Kochi MLA flagged off the vehicle.The war heroes of the Kargil War were commemorated on 27 July 2019 on the auspices of NCC, SPC and JRC units of the schoolThe District Camp of KITE was conducted on 24 November 2019. Students from various schools participatedSPC cadets visited the Old Age Home of Veli Fortkochi on 19 October 2019. The visit was to share some precious moments with the old people of the Home and to develop empathy with old people.A Public Class Room was set up in the street in front of the school campus to impart the public an awareness about the need to conserve our Ozone Layer on 16 September 2019. The class was taken by Kumari Swathi S Mallya guided by Sri Sudheesh Shenoy, Social Science teacher.Asst Collector Miss Madhvikutty visited the school to inspect the materials made with plastic by students on 3rd October 2019.New students were greeted with warm welcome on the School Reopening Day, 6 June 2019.Sub Collector Sri Snehil Kumar Singh received salute in the Republic Day parade conducted in the premises of RDO.
