The corona virus pandemic and lockdown has triggered a clearly visible impact on financial markets.But there is still no clarity about the deeper impacts on industrial sector. Even then, the healthcare sector is the epicentre of this unprecedented pandemic. The private sector has also risen to the occasion by offering support to the government, be it on testing, setting up of isolation wards or on deploying their staff in the fight against the pandemic. So let's give a big salute to the government and frontline workers who support our life. The medical devices industry has also taken a hit. The country imports consumables, disposables and capital equipment including orthopaedic implants, gloves, syringes, bandages, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging devices from China. Due to the current crisis in China, the medical device manufacturers across India are finding it difficult to source important raw materials and electronic components from Chinese factories.
