CORONA
Today’s world is facing a severe threat in the form of a new epidemic disease caused by a virus, named COVID-19. Not only the place of its origin but also most part of our world is affected by this deadly disease. About 210 countries and its territories are severely affected by this disease. The novel SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that emerged in the city of Wuhan, China, last year caused a large scale COVID -19 epide mic and spread to more than 210 countries is the product of natural evolution, according to the findings published in the journal Nature Medicine. On 11 March 2020,WHO declared Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak as a pandemic and reiterated the call for countries to take immediate actions and scale up responses to treat, detect and reduce transmission to save people’s lives. After a great loss of lives in China, the corona virus expanded to other countries. UAE, USA, UK,African countries and other European countries were affected by this deadly disease. As no treatment was available for this disease the control in spreading of this disease become more harder than it was thought of. India is at its crucial juncture in its fight against COVID-19.The country has responded with urgency and determination as reflected in the Prime Minister’s bold and decisive leadership. The government has also taken initiative to prevent the spread of this pandemic by adopting strategies like find, isolate, test, treat, and trace. WHO is supporting the government’s endeavor to further strengthen and intensify surveillance and build capacity of the health system. WHO stands together in solidarity with the government in its firm resolve to overcome this unprecedented challenge,” says Dr.Henk Bekedam, WHO representative to India. The detection of corona virus is a major issue in stopping this pandemic. People may be sick with the virus for 1 to 14 days beforedeveloping symptoms. The most common symptoms of coronavirus disease are fever, tiredness, and drycough. Most people recover from the disease without needing special treatment. More rarely, the disease can be serious and even fatal. Older people, and people with othermedical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease may bevulnerable to becoming severely ill. The major issue in curing corona is that there is no specific medicine to prevent or treat it. People may need supportive care to help them breathe.Ifyou have mild symptoms, stay at home until you’ve recovered. You can relive your symptoms if you: • Rest and sleep. • Keep warm. • Drink plenty of liquid. • Use a room humidifier or take a hot shower to help ease a sore throat and cough. To prevent the spread and creating more number of patients around us it is very important to take precautions. As the spread become world wide the foreign natives are restricted entry to our country. Our entire country has gone under lock down as per the orders of Honourable Prime Minister. All the residents of India is staying at homeastofight against this disease. Our state of Kerala has gained respect andappreciation at both National and International level. Every country in the world is fighting against corona virus. By fighting together we can defeat this pandemic. This widespread disease has caused a large depletion in stock rates and loss in many ways for business enterprises. Every bad conditions that we are facing now is not permanent. Our country will come out of this bad situation and we will rise above it with more grace and power as we did earlier in every situations.
