                                                                                   THE MATHEMATICS CLUB
              The Mathematics Club gives opportunities to the students to show their mathematical skills. The main objective of the club is to explore Mathematics beyond text books and apply it in day-to-day situations. It is an attempt to provide opportunities for experimental learning for the students. The club conducts competitions which give opportunities to the students to solve challenging questions, puzzles and riddles. The teachers can encourage the students for participating in the Mathematics Fair conducted every year in the Schoollevel, Sub District Level, District Level, State Level and even in the Southern India Science Fair. Mathematics Club plays an important role in motivating the students to learn Mathematics with interest and involvement.
             The Mathematics Club inculcates the habit of self study and independent work among the students. It developes heuristic and problem solving attitude in the students.
                                                                       THE CLUB ACTIVITIES OF OUR SCHOOL
                       The acivities of our Mathematics club usually being inaugurated by an Honoured Personality in the second week of June of the Accdemic Year. The meeting will be conducted in the lunch break of every Friday. In the first meeting The Student Convener two assistants are being selected,and they help the teachers to arrange the meeting every week.
                      Students are asked to present puzzles, seminar, contribution of Mathematicians, Models which are working or still, Projects, Quiz programmes, Introduction of Magic Squares,etc. In one meeting 3 or 4 students can present their Items. Every student participating in an item will be given a gift voucher for encouraging them. Competitions are being held to select the children for the various items included in the Mathematics Fair. The Ganitha Pookkalam is a competition for selecting a child for Geometrical Chart competition in the Maths Fair and also for Making the Athappokkalam in front of our school for the Onam celebration. All these activities help our children to increase their interest in Mathematics and skills in curricular and non-curricular activities.
                                                                           OUR ACHIEVEMENTS TILL 2019 -2020  
                  The Mathematics Club activities helped the children to become the Champions of Mathematics Fair in the High School section in the Sub District Level since the academic year 2014-15. Also the Group Project item got the First Prize in the State Level for two times (2014-15,2016-17), the Second Prize(2015-16) in the State Level one time and the Single Project item got third in the State Level in 2015-16 and First in 2016-17. They also got Gold Medals and Cash prizes from the Govt. of Kerala. The Sreenivasa Ramanujan Memorial Paper Presentation is a Master piece item of our school since we get continuously selection for the State level Competitions.

IN THE YEAR 2010-2011

                   GOPIKA and KRISHNAPRABHA participated in the Group Project competition, conducted by the Ganitha Sasthra Parishad, Kottayam and won the second prize. They also Certificates and cash prize. Raji V G Teacher(Late) was awarded in the name of Sreenivasa Ramanujan for The Best Teacher and Devapriya teacher was awarded as The Best Teacher Guide.

IN THE YEAR 2011-2012

                   GEETHU SACHITHANAND and MANJU won A grade in the Group project  competition at the State Level.

IN THE YEAR 2014-2015

                   GANESH S and UMANATH  Participated in Group Project and won First Prize in the State Level Mathematics Fair. They also won Cash prize and Trophy. They also participated in the Southern India South Fair conducted in Trissur,Kerala in 2015, January and got prizes from Visweswarayya Museum , Bangalore. Their Topic of the project was "SOLIDS OF REVOLUTION". SUBUHAN participated in the Single Project in the State Level for the same topic and won A grade. ARPANA  participated in Sreenivasa Ramanujan Memorial Paper Presentation in the State Level and won A grade.

IN THE YEAR 2015-2016

                   GEETHU SACHITHANAND and SIDHIVINAYAKA parcipated in the State Level Mathematics Fair and won Second Prize.They got cash prize and Trophy.GOVIND BHAT participated in Single Project and won the Third Prize in the State Level Fair. He also got cash prize and Trophy. They gave these prize amounts to the flood affected area in Chennai through the Mathrubhumi Daily.

IN THE YEAR 2016-2017

                    This year our school got The Sub District Level Championship. Group Project by ARJUN J SHENOY and VISHNU K and Single Project by GOVIND BHAT won The First Prize in the State Level competition. They got Gold Medals, Cash Prizes and Trophies. They were also selected for the Southern India Science Fair, held at Puducherry. In the same year NANDAKISHORE M PAI bagged The Second Prize in the Sreenivasa Ramanujan Memorial Paper Presentation and also got Cash prize conducted by the Kerala Public Education in the State Level. For the Working Model Competition at the State Level, Sarath got A grade. We also got The Best Mathematics Club Award in the Mattancherry Sub District and won cash prize for the year 2016-17.

IN THE YEAR 2017-2018

                   This year also our school got The Sub District Level Championship.  Suneethi S Shenoy and Athira won A grade in the Group Project  Utham won A grade in the Pure Construction, Rohini Mallya won the A grade in the Number Chart in the State Level which held in Kozhikode district. Vinayak Kamath won A grade in the  Sreenivasa Ramanujan Memorial Paper Presentation in the same year. It was for the first time that Pure construction and Number Chart got selection for the State Level Competition. We also got The Best Mathematics Club Award in the Mattancherry Sub District and won cash prize.

IN THE YEAR 2018-2019

                  This year also our school got The Sub District Level Championship. Adithya Anil Bhat won A grade at the State Level Sreenivasa Ramanujan Memorial Paper Presentation Competition and Aravind S Bhat Won The Selection for the State Level Bhaskaracharya Seminar winning the Second Prize at the District Level. But the competition was not held at the State Level due to the Flood. We also got The Best Mathematics Club Award in the Mattancherry Sub District and won cash prize. This year A Mathematics Workshop was conducted by the Club members in which different Tasks relating to various math ideas were given to 8th standard children by the senior students. They very much enjoyed the workshop. 

IN THE YEAR 2019-2020'

                 This year also our school got The Sub District Level Championship. Vedavathi S Mallya and Sreshta S Shenoy got Third prize for the Group Project and Govinda Pai G got Third prize for the Working Model at the District Level Competitions. Shyamkrishna M Pai got First in the applied Construction in the District Level and got B grade in the State Level. Gopalakrishna Kamath got A grade in the Bhaskaracharya Seminar in the State Level this year. This is the first year in which Bhaskaracharya Seminar Competition had the State Level. We also got The Best Mathematics Club Award in the Mattancherry Sub District and won cash prize.
