font-size: 88%; border-style: solid; border-width: 1px 1px 1px 4px; border-radius: 0.33em; border-color: #a3d3ff; vertical-align: top; white-space: pre-wrap;"><div><ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">പ്റഭാതം  പുലർന്നു.ഒരു  യാത്റകഴിഞ്ഞ്  വരുവഴി  ഒരു  വൃദ്ദനെ  കണ്ടുമുട്ടിഅദ്ദേഹം വളരെയധികം അവശനായിരുന്നു.  വേച്  വേചാണ് അയാൾ  നടക്കുന്നത്.  രാവിലത്തെ  പ്റാതലിനുള്ള  കാശ്  അദ്ദേഹം  ഒാരോരുത്തരുടേയും  കൈയിൽ  നിന്നും ഇരന്ന്  വാങ്ങുകയാണ്.  ഞാൻ  അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്  പ്റാതലിനുള്ള  കാശ്  കൊടുത്തിട്ട്  എൻെ്റ  യാത്റ  തുടർന്നു. ഇത്  അങ്ങനെ  സ്ഫിരവായി.  എനിക്ക്  അയാളോട്  എന്തന്നില്ലത്ത  സ്നേഹം  തോന്നി.  ഒരു  ദിവസം  ഞാൻ  യാത്റകഴിഞ്ഞ്  വരുന്ന  വഴി  ആ  വൃദ്ദനെ  അവിടെയെല്ലാം  നോക്കി  അദ്ധഹത്തിനെ  എനിക്ക്  കാണാൻ  കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.  ഞാൻ വലരെയധികം  ദുഖിച്ചു.അങ്ങനെ  കുറേദൂരം  കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ  ഒരു  വീടിന്  മുൻന്നിൽ  ആളുകളുടെ  ബഹളം  പോലെ  തോന്നി.  ഞാൻ‍ അവിടേക്ക്  ഒന്ന്  തലചായ്ച്ചു.  എനിക്ക്  കാണാൻ  കഴിഞ്ഞത്  വളരെയധികം  വേദനാജനകമായിരുന്നു.  എന്താണെന്ന്  വെച്ചാൽ  പാചകപുരയിൽനിന്നു  ആഹാരം  മോട്ടിച്ചതിനാണ്.  പിറ്റെന്ന്  ഞാൻ  വീണ്ടും  അദ്ദേഹത്തെ  തിരക്കി.  ഞാൻ  കണ്ടകാഴ്ച്ച  വളരെയധികം ഭയാനകമായിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു മരത്തിൻ  ചുവട്ടിൽഞ്ഞെരുങ്ങികിടക്കുന്നു. തണുപ്പുകോണ്ട്  അദ്ദേഹം  വിറയ്ക്കുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.  ഞാൻ  അടുത്തുള്ള        കടയിൽ  കയറ്റി  ഒരു  പുതപ്പ്  വാങ്ങി  അദ്ദേഹത്തിനെ  പുതപ്പിച്ച്  പിന്നീട്  അയാൾ  പെട്ടെന്ന്  ചാടി  എണീറ്റു.  ഞാൻ  പോടിച്ചുപ്പോയി.  അവിടെനിന്നും  അദ്ദേഹം  എന്നോട്  ഒരു  ചോദ്യം  ഉന്നയിച്ചു. എന്തിനാണ്  എന്നെ  ശല്യപ്പെടുതുന്നത്?  കുറച്ച്  നേരം  ഞാൻ മൂകയായിനിന്നു.  ഇത്റയും  പറഞ്ഞ്  അയാൾ  ദൂരത്തേക്ക്  നീങ്ങി.  അയാൾ  വേച്ച്  വേച്ച്  നടന്നുമറയുന്നതവരെ  ഞാൻ  അയാളെ  നിരീക് ഷിച്ച് അവിടെതന്നെ  നിന്നു.  </ins></div></td></tr> <tr><td colspan="2" class="diff-side-deleted"></td><td class="diff-marker" data-marker="+"></td><td style="color: #202122;
