	The journey of our lives is not just about the destinations we have reached our wisdom, education and personal growth come from the people we meet, the paths we choose to follow and the lessons we have learnt along the way. We determine our destination. It is indeed a long and enriching journey of 80 years. It is God who has been showering his blessing un conditionally and has efficiently captured our school under the patronage of Holy Family ASBS Kumbla who has been accompanying us in our every step and has been sustaining us in our journey.
	The heart of the missionary is restless until it has explored all avenues to enlighten the ignorant minds and educate the young hearts. Such was the spirit of late provincial superior sister.Ester Piciali who made use of opportunities to diffuse Godey light. When the proposal cause from Mr. Sylvester Rego the benefactor to open this school which would serve as a channel of

	“ Serving humanity is serving God .” with this conviction enthusiastic band of three ardent missionaries Rev.viz: Sr.Agnes Fumagalli, Sister Luigina Colombo, Sister Maria D’ souza arrived on 16th November 1936.These sisters started a small dispensary at the convent premises .The Holy Family Elementary school was straight away started on the 4th June 1937 with two sisters ,Sister Vittoria as headmistress
	As there was a good response from parents the sisters planned to open a higher class every succeeding year. Students who entered the portals of Holy Family are now successful in their lives.The year 2016-17 was a grace filled year, which marked many awards, rewards and successful activities. Holy Family Aided Senior Basic School was started on 1936 by Sisters of Charity Educational Society Mangalore, with the aim of up-liftment of educational backward area of Kasaragod district. Since these years, the institution has been developing the standard of education with the help of local resource. So far the thousands of students are educated through this institution and settled all over India and Abroad. Now nearly 895 children are getting education from 1 to 7th in Kannada, English, Malayalam media having 21 divisions.There are 895 students in our School, studying in Kannada, Malayalam and English Mediums. 171 kids study in the nursery. There are 25 staff including a computer teacher. Teachers refresh and enrich their content knowledge by attending different courses and cluster training programmes conducted by the department.

	~~PHYSICAL FACILITIES~~
	Till 1946 a portion of convent building was used for the educational purpose, which was shifted to the present school premises. The school has 21 divisions with the sense of health and hygiene, sufficient toilets are built up. To provide nutritious food well furnished kitchen is constructed. To develop Eco sense and love for the nature a piece of land is reserved for the gardening purpose .To upgrade the students towards the modern technology computers were made available in the computer lab. To introduce smart classes multimedia room is being made use of .For the physical education training spacious playground & play materials are given. Reading corners in the respective classes as well as library at school level enriches the knowledge and broadens the vision for life.
	~~SCHOOL MANAGEMENT~~
	Our school is under the management of sisters of charity educational society .The present manager is Rev. Sister Annie James and the Headmistress is Rev. Sister Hilda Crasta .The school has energetic and enthusiastic team of 24 teachers, their contribution is immense towards the upliftment of students .The non teaching staff is a great support in our endeavors.
	~~STUDENTS~~
	Batches of students who have left the school since past 80 years are inspiration to take forward our mission with full enthusiasm as they have not only excelled in academic results but also in spreading the light of values ,being responsible citizens, have shown vibrancy in setting new leadership with full coverage and prepared to face the world of challenges.
	~~In the current academic year 895 students from class 1 to 7 in Kannada , Malayalam and English medias pursue their studies ,in the nursery there 170 students studying in three different media.~~

	We thank God for his guidance for the past 80 years. He has been accompanying us at every step and decisions that we have taken we ask him to bless and reward every person who has been an instrument for the growth and development of Holy Family School. 	The infrastructure of this school is developed through the help of PTA and well wishers. This school has play ground which still need to be leveled and improved upon. Computer education and other facilities are available. Children from all walks of life and cultural background are in our school. More than 50% of children are coming from economically poor background.

	Students get ample opportunities to exhibit their talents through various clubs and competitions. Each class takes its turn to conduct school assembly where they present different activities done in the class. There are various clubs such as Science, Math’s, Work experience, band club, literary club, road safety club, Scouts and Guides in the School. Each teacher and the members of the club are responsible to conduct different activities related to it.
	Children are given awareness regarding the value system and taught to help the poor and needy. P.T.A general body and class P.T.A was held during the year. Two special programmes were arranged for mothers and girls to understand the changing situations and how to handle the teenagers by resource personals from outside. Prayer services conducted during the important events and the moral science classes were a great help to the students for their behavioral changes.

			There are 895 students in our School, studying in Kannada, Malayalam and English Mediums. 171 kids study in the nursery. Students get ample opportunities to exhibit their talents through various clubs and competitions. Each class takes its turn to conduct school assembly where they present different activities done in the class. There are various clubs such as Science, Math’s, Work experience, band club, literary club, road safety club, Scouts and Guides in the School. Each teacher and the members of the club are responsible to conduct different activities related to it.
			Children are given awareness regarding the value system and taught to help the poor and needy. P.T.A general body and class P.T.A was held during the year. Two special programmes were arranged for mothers and girls to understand the changing situations and how to handle the teenagers by resource personals from outside. Prayer services conducted during the important events and the moral science classes were a great help to the students for their behavioral changes.

			The infrastructure of this school is developed through the help of PTA and well wishers. This school has play ground which still need to be leveled and improved upon. Computer education and other facilities are available. Children from all walks of life and cultural background are in our school. More than 50% of children are coming from economically poor background.

			The year 2016-17 was a grace filled year, which marked many awards, rewards and successful activities. Holy Family Aided Senior Basic School was started on 1936 by Sisters of Charity Educational Society Mangalore, with the aim of up-liftment of educational backward area of Kasaragod district. Since these years, the institution has been developing the standard of education with the help of local resource. So far the thousands of students are educated through this institution and settled all over India and Abroad. Now nearly 895 children are getting education from 1 to 7th in Kannada, English, Malayalam media having 21 divisions.
			There are 25 staff including a computer teacher. Teachers refresh and enrich their content knowledge by attending different courses and cluster training programmes conducted by the department.
