<p>&#039;== &#039;&#039;&#039;ആമുഖം&#039;&#039;&#039; == <a href="/index.php?title=%E0%B4%AA%E0%B5%8D%E0%B4%B0%E0%B4%AE%E0%B4%BE%E0%B4%A3%E0%B4%82:18436-2&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1" class="new" title="പ്രമാണം:18436-2 (ഇതുവരെ എഴുതപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല)">ലഘുചിത്രം|വലത്ത്‌</a> ഒരു...&#039; താൾ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു</p> <p><b>പുതിയ താൾ</b></p><div>== &#039;&#039;&#039;ആമുഖം&#039;&#039;&#039; ==<br /> [[പ്രമാണം:18436-2|ലഘുചിത്രം|വലത്ത്‌]]<br /> <br /> ഒരു നൂറ്റാണ്ട് കാലമായി കോട്ട‌യ്‌ക്കല്‍ പ്രദേശത്തിനു വെളിച്ചവും വഴികാട്ടിയുമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്ന ജി . എല്‍. പി . സ്‌കൂള്‍ സര്‍വതോന്‍മുഖമായ പുരോഗതിയുടെ പാതയിലാണ്. കോട്ട‌യ്‌ക്കലിലും പരിസര പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള ധാരാളം പ്രഗല്‍ഭരായ വ്യക്തികള്‍ക്ക് ആദ്യാക്ഷരം കുറിച്ച ഈ മഹല്‍സ്ഥാപനം അതിന്റെ യശസ്സിനു കോട്ടം തട്ടാതെ ഇന്നും കാത്തു സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. പ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ സാമൂഹിക സാംസ്‌കാരിക രംഗത്തെ ഉന്നതിക്കു ഈ സ്ഥാപനം പങ്കുവഹിച്ചു വരുന്നു.<br /> <br /> === ചരിത്രം ===<br /> <br /> കോട്ട‌യ്‌ക്കല്‍ കോട്ടപ്പടി - രാജാസ് ഹൈസ്‌കൂള്‍ റോഡിലെ പാര്‍വ്വതീ നിലയത്തിലാണ് ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കം. പടിയത്ത് മാധവിയമ്മാള്‍ എന്ന മഹതിയുടെ പ്രയത്ന ഫലമായി 1914 – ല്‍ ആരംഭം കുറിക്കപ്പെട്ട &quot;കളരി&quot; പിന്നീട് കോട്ട‌യ്‌ക്കല്‍ കിഴക്കെ കോവിലകത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മാറ്റി സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. കോട്ട‌യ്‌ക്കല്‍ ആര്യവൈദ്യശാലയുടെ പരിസരത്തായിരുന്നു അന്ന് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു പോന്നത്. അന്ന് താലൂക്ക് ബോര്‍ഡിന്റെ കീഴില്‍ ഗേള്‍സ് എലിമെന്ററി സ്‌കൂള്‍ എന്ന പേരിലാണിത് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. പിന്നീട് കോട്ട‌യ്‌ക്കല്‍ ആര്യവൈദ്യശാലയുടെ സ്ഥാപകന്‍ വൈദ്യരത്നം പി.എസ്.വാര്യര്‍ സ്വന്തം സ്ഥലത്ത് സ്‌കൂള്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിച്ച് പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം തുടങ്ങി. 1934 ഫെബ്രുവരി 19 നായിരുന്നു പുതിയ കെട്ടിടത്തിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം.1957 ഒക്‌ടോബറിലാണ് ജി.എല്‍.പി. എന്ന പേരിലറിയപ്പെടാന്‍ തു‍ടങ്ങിയത്<br /> സാധാരണ എല്‍.പി.സ്‌കൂളുകളുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തന പരിധിക്കപ്പുറത്തുള്ള ദൂരപ്രദേശങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു പോലും ഇവിടെ കുട്ടികള്‍ എത്തുന്നു. കോട്ടക്കലിനു പുറമെ രണ്ടത്താണി, ഇന്ത്യനൂര്‍, കാവതികളം, ചെറുകുന്ന്, പുത്തൂര്‍, അരിച്ചോള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നെല്ലാം കുട്ടികള്‍ ഇവിടെ പഠിക്കാനെത്തുന്നു<br /> <br /> [[പ്രമാണം:18436-3|ലഘുചിത്രം]] <br /> [[പ്രമാണം:18436-4|ലഘുചിത്രം|നടുവിൽ]]</div>
