<p>പുതിയ താള്‍: സ്കൂള്‍ ചരിത്രം നെയ്യാറ്റിന്‍കര താലൂക്കില്‍ പെരുങ്കടവിള …</p> <p><b>പുതിയ താൾ</b></p><div>സ്കൂള്‍ ചരിത്രം<br /> <br /> നെയ്യാറ്റിന്‍കര താലൂക്കില്‍ പെരുങ്കടവിള ബ്ലോക്കില്‍ പെരുങ്കടവിള പഞ്ചായത്തിലാണ് മാരായമുട്ടം ഗവണ്‍മെന്‍റ് ഹയര്‍സെക്കണ്ടറി സ്കൂള്‍ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. <br /> <br /> മാര്‍ത്താണ്ഡവര്‍മ്മ മഹാരാജാവില്‍ നിന്നും രാജഭരണം പിടിച്ചെടുക്കാനായി എട്ടുവീട്ടില്‍ പിള്ളമാര്‍ നടത്തിയ പോരാട്ടത്തില്‍ മാര്‍ത്താണ്ഡവര്‍മ്മ മഹാരാജാവ് പലായനം ചെയ്ത് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവന്നു വഴിമുട്ടി ഒളിച്ചിരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് മഹാരാജമുട്ടം എന്നറിയപ്പെടുകയും ക്രമേണ മാരായമുട്ടം ആയി മാറുകയും ചെയ്തു. മാരായമുട്ടത്തിനു തൊട്ടടുത്ത സ്ഥലത്തുള്ള കുളത്തില്‍, മാര്‍ത്താണ്ഡവര്‍മ്മ മഹാരാജാവ് മാല ഊരി വച്ചതിനുശേഷം കുളിച്ചു. ഈ സ്ഥലം മാലകുളങ്ങര എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.<br /> <br /> നൂറ്റിയറുപത് വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മുന്പ് മല്ലന്‍ കുമാരന്‍ എന്നയാളിന്‍റെ വസ്തുവില്‍, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ ശേഷകാരന്മാര്‍ നിത്യവൃത്തിക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഒന്നു മുതല്‍ നാലുവരെയുള്ള ക്ലാസുകള്‍ നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. രാജവാഴ്ചക്കാര്‍ ഗ്രാന്‍റ് അനുവദിച്ചു. ഈ കുടിപ്പള്ളിക്കൂടത്തെ അപ്ഗ്രേഡ് ചെയ്തു മിഡില്‍ സ്കൂളാക്കി. അങ്ങനെ ഏഴാം ക്ലാസുവരെയുള്ള അധ്യയനം ഈ സ്കൂളില്‍ തുടങ്ങി. ആ സമയത്ത് സ്കൂള്‍ അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത് വടക്കമ്പലം സ്കൂള്‍ എന്നായിരുന്നു.<br /> <br /> മാരായമുട്ടം ഗവണ്‍മെന്‍റ് ഹൈസ്ക്കൂള്‍ 1957ന് മുമ്പ് മാരായമുട്ടം പുല്ലയില്‍ ശ്രീ. മാധവന്‍പിള്ളയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ ഒരു പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂളായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചു. ശേഷം 5,6,7 ക്ലാസുകളോടുകൂടി മിഡില്‍ സ്കൂളായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം തുടര്‍ന്നു. ആ സമയത്ത് ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ ഹൈസ്കൂള്‍ വിദ്യഭ്യാസത്തിന് ആശ്രയിച്ചിരുന്നത് നെയ്യാറ്റിന്‍കര ഗവണ്‍മെന്‍റ് ഹൈസ്ക്കൂളിനെയായിരുന്നു. ഇതു മനസിലാക്കിയ അന്നത്തെ സാമൂഹ്യ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരും, പൗരപ്രമുഖരുമായ ആങ്കോടുവീട്ടില്‍ ശ്രീ.വി.കെ.കുമാരന്‍ നായര്‍, വലിയവീട്ടില്‍ ശ്രീ.വാസുദേവന്‍ നായര്‍, വടകര ശ്രീ.കുഞ്ഞന്‍ പണിക്കര്‍, വമ്പറച്ചുതല ശ്രീ.അയ്യപ്പന്‍ തമ്പി എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ ഹൈസ്ക്കൂളിന് വേണ്ടി പരിശ്രമിച്ചു. 1957-ലെ ഇ.എം.എസ് മന്ത്രിസഭയുടെ കാലത്ത് പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവായിരുന്ന പട്ടം താണുപിള്ളയുടെ ശ്രമഫലമായി അന്നത്തെ വിദ്യഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രിയായിരുന്ന ശ്രീ.ജോസഫ് മുണ്ടശ്ശേരി 1957-ല്‍ ഹൈസ്കൂള്‍ അനുവദിച്ചു. അതിനുള്ള സ്ഥലം വിട്ട് കൊടുത്തത് വമ്പറച്ചുതല കുടുംബക്കാരും, വെള്ളിക്കുഴി കുടുംബക്കാരും, വലിയപറമ്പു കുടുംബക്കാരുമായിരുന്നു.<br /> <br /> ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രഥമാധ്യാപകന്‍ ശ്രീ.വീരമണി അയ്യരായിരുന്നു. ഹൈസ്ക്കൂളിനു വേണ്ടി പുതിയ കെട്ടിടങ്ങള്‍ അനുവദിച്ചപ്പോള്‍, പ്രൈമറി വിഭാഗം മാറ്റി മാരായമുട്ടം ഗവ.ലോവര്‍ പ്രൈമറി സ്ക്കൂറായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു വന്നു. 2004-05 അധ്യയനവര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ അഞ്ചാം സ്റ്റാന്‍ഡേര്‍ഡില്‍ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് മീഡിയം ക്ലാസുകള്‍<br /> ആരംഭിച്ചു.<br /> <br /> നിലവില്‍ ഈ സ്ക്കൂളില്‍ അപ്പര്‍പ്രൈമറി വിഭാഗത്തിലും, ഹൈസ്ക്കൂള്‍ വിഭാഗത്തിലുമായി 1643 കുട്ടികള്‍ പഠിക്കുന്നു.
