മാടത്തിൽപൂക്കോട് എൽ.പി സ്കൂൾ 1916 ലാണ് സ്ഥാപിതമായത് .അപ്പഗുരുക്കൾ എന്ന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ തല്പരനും ഒതേനൻ ഗുരുക്കൾ എന്ന മറ്റൊരു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസപ്രേമിയും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളായിരുന്നു .ഒതേനൻ ഗുരുക്കൾ കൊട്ടയോടി സ്കൂളിന്റെ സ്ഥാപകനും അപ്പഗുരുക്കൾ മറ്റൊരു വിദ്യാലയത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥാപകനും ആയിരുന്നു .[ ശങ്കരവിലാസം യു.പി സ്കൂളിന്റെ സ്ഥാപകനായ അപ്പുഗുരുക്കളല്ല.] അവർ രണ്ടുപേരും അന്ന് അധ്യാപകപരിശീലനം കഴിഞ്ഞു പുറത്തുവന്ന പത്തൊൻപതുകാരനായ തുണ്ടിക്കണ്ടി കുഞ്ഞിരാമൻ മാസ്റ്ററുമായി ചേർന്ന് ഒരു പുതിയ സ്കൂൾ തുടങ്ങാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.മാടത്തിൽ എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ജന്മി മുഹമ്മദുകുട്ടി എന്ന ആളായിരുന്നു .അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്നും കുറച്ചുസ്ഥലം ചാർത്തിവാങ്ങിയാണ് മൂന്നുപേരും ചേർന്ന് 1916 ൽ സ്കൂൾ ആരംഭിച്ചത് .കുഞ്ഞിരാമൻമാസ്റ്ററെ ഹെഡ്മാസ്റ്ററായി നിയമിച്ചു .കുറച്ചുകാലം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അപ്പഗുരുക്കളും ഒതേനൻഗുരുക്കളും ഞങ്ങൾ മാനേജുമെന്റിലുണ്ടായ പകുതി അവകാശം സ്കൂളിലെ അധ്യാപകനായ എം.നാരായണൻ നമ്പിയാർമാസ്റ്റർക് നൽകി .ഈ അവസരത്തിൽ സ്കൂളിനുവേണ്ടി താൻ നൽകിയ ചാർത്തു റദ്ദാക്കി കുടിയൊഴിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലായിരുന്നു ജന്മി .എന്നാൽ ജന്മിയുടെ ഉറ്റസുഹൃത്തായിരുന്ന ഓലായിക്കരയിലെ കണ്ടോത്തു പുത്തിലോൻ കുഞ്ഞബുനായർ എന്ന മഹാൻ ശക്തിയായി ഇടപെട്ട് സ്കൂളും സ്ഥലവും നഷ്ടപെട്ടുപോകുമെന്ന അവസ്ഥ ഒഴിവാക്കി .അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നിർദ്ദേശമനുസരിച്ചു സ്കൂൾ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന സ്ഥലം എം.നാരായണൻമാസ്റ്ററിന്റെയും തുണ്ടിക്കണ്ടി കുഞ്ഞിരാമൻ മാസ്റ്ററിന്റെയും പേരിൽ മേൽചാർത്തായി നൽകി .1960 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 7 ന് എം.നാരായണൻമാസ്റ്റർ സ്വത്തിന്മേലും സ്കൂളിന്മേലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പകുതി അവകാശം പ്രതിഫലം വാങ്ങി തുണ്ടിക്കണ്ടി കുഞ്ഞിരാമൻ മാസ്റ്റർക്ക് പൂർണ്ണമായും വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു.1983 ജൂൺ 22 ന് തുണ്ടിക്കണ്ടി കുഞ്ഞിരാമൻ മാസ്റ്ററിന്റെ മരണശേഷം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യ ശ്രീമതി ഇ .ചീരുട്ടി ടീച്ചർ മാനേജരായി .2001 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 21 ചീരുട്ടി ടീച്ചറിന്റെ അന്തരാവകാശിയായി മകൾ ഇ .വിമല സ്കൂൾ മാനേജുമെന്റ് ഏറ്റ്എടുത്തു കൊണ്ട് സ്കൂളിന്റെ വളർച്ചയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി എല്ലാ സഹായസഹകരണങ്ങളും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു .<br />

ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ അറിവിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം പകർന്ന തുണ്ടിക്കണ്ടി കുഞ്ഞിരാമൻ മാസ്റ്റർ ,എം .നാരായണൻ മാസ്റ്റർ ,ചാത്തോത്തു കുഞ്ഞിരാമൻ മാസ്റ്റർ ,തുണ്ടിക്കണ്ടി കൃഷ്ണൻ മാസ്റ്റർ ,ഇ .ചീരൂട്ടി ടീച്ചർ,പി .രാഘവൻ മാസ്റ്റർ,വി .പി കുഞ്ഞിക്കണ്ണൻ മാസ്റ്റർ തുടങ്ങിയ പലരും കാല യവനികക്കുള്ളിൽ മറഞ്ഞു പോയിരിക്കുന്നു ...അവരെ ആദരവോടെ അനുസ്മരിക്കുന്നു ...ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ നിന്നും റിട്ടയർ ചെയ്ത സി.പദ്മിനി ,പി.വി ഭവാനി ,എൻ .ടി സുമിത്ര ,ഇ .സുമതി തുടങ്ങിയ ഗുരുനാഥൻമാരുടെ സേവനങ്ങളും ആദരവോടെ ഓർമ്മിക്കുന്നു ...<br />
