ത്തിന്റെ ശേഷിപുകളയ വീരക്കല്ുകള് ,നവീന ശിലായുഗസ്മരണ-<br />
യുണര്ത്തുന്ന കന്മഴു,കല്ല്ളി എന്നിവ കബനി തടത്തിലെ ജനവാ-സ രേഖകളായി വിദൂര ഭൂതകാലത്തിലേയ്ക് നമ്മെ നയിക്കുന്നു.<br />

രേഖകളായി വിദൂര ഭൂതകാലത്തിലേയ്ക് നമ്മെ നയിക്കുന്നു.കര്ണ്ണാടകക്കാരായ ഗൗഡരും വിവിധ ആദിവാസിഗോത്രങ്ങളും-വളരെക്കാലം മുമ്പ്തന്നെ ഇവിടെ ജീവിച്ചു വന്നു. കൃഷി,മീന്പിടിത്തം നായാട്ട് മുതലായവ പ്രധാ-<br />
നഉപജീവന മാര്ഗ്ഗമായിരുന്നു.സ്വതേ ശിന്തരും സൗമ്യുരുംസമാധാ-<br />
നപ്രിയരുമായ ഗൗഡര് കുടിയേറ്റകര്ഷകരുടെ വരവോടെ സ്വദേശ-<br />
ത്തേയ്ക് മടങ്ങി.ഗൗഡര് വിഭാഗത്തില്പ്പെട്ട ചില കുടുംബങ്ങള് ഇ-<br />
പ്പോളും ഇവിടെ താമസിക്കുന്നു.<br />
വിവിധ ഗോത്രസംസ്കൃൃതികളുടെ വിളഭൂമി കൂടിയാണ് പെരി-<br />
ക്കലൂര്.പണിയര്<br />

മു തലായവ തനിമയോടെ ഇന്നും ഇവര് കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.ഗോത്ര-<br />
സംസ്കാരങ്ങളുടെ പിന്തുടര്ച്ചക്കാര് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസപരമായും തൊഴി-<br />
ല്പരമായും വികസനത്തിന്റെ പാതയിലാണ്.<br />
ഏറെക്കുറെ അറുപതു വര്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കു മുമ്പ്തന്നെ കുടിയേ-<br />
റ്റം ആരംഭിച്ചിരുന്നു.തിരുവിതാംകൂറില്നിന്നും പലകാലങ്ങളി-<br />
ലായി ഇവിടെ എത്തിയ കര്ഷകജനത കബനിതടത്തിലെ കന്നി-<br />
മണ്ണില് കനകം വിളയിച്ചു.കാട്ടാനയോടും കാട്ടുപോത്തിനോടും,മല-<br />
മ്പനിയോടും മല്ലടിച്ച ആദ്യകാല കര്ഷകരുടെ യാതനകളും വേദ<br />
നകളും വിവരണാതീതമാണ്.<br />
കപ്പ, വാഴ,ചോളം,നെല്ല്,വരക്,ചാമ,മക്കച്ചോളം,-<br />
മുതലായവ ഇവിടുത്തെ ആദ്യ കാലവിളകളായിരുന്നു.അന്നത്തെചി-<br />
ലനെല്വിത്തുകളുടെ പേരുകള് ഓര്മ്മിക്കുന്നത് നന്നായിരിക്കും.-<br />
വെളിയന്,തോണ്ടി,പുന്നാടന്തോണ്ടി,അടുക്കന് ,ജീരകശാല മുത-<br />
ലായവ ഇവയില് ചിലതാണ്.<br />
മനോഹരയമായ ഒരുകാര്ഷിക കൂട്ടായ്മ ഇവിടെ നിലനിന്നിരു-<br />
ന്നു.ഗൃഹനിര്മ്മാണം മുതല്കൃഷിപ്പണികള്വരെ ഇടുത്തടുത്ത കുടും-<br />
ബങ്ങള് സഹകരിച്ചാണ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്.ഇത്തരം കൂട്ടായ്മകള് കൊ-<br />
ച്ചു കൊച്ചു കാര്ഷിക കൂട്ടായ്മകള് തന്നെയായിരുന്നു.കാലത്തിന്റെ-<br />
കുത്തോഴുക്കില് ഈ ആചാരകങ്ങള്ക്കെല്ലാം മാറ്റമുണ്ടായി.ജീവിത-<br />
ത്തിന്റെ സമസ്ത മേഖലകളിലും ഈമാററം ദൃശ്യമായി.കബനിയുടെ-<br />
ഒഴുക്കിന്റെ ഉയര്ച താഴ്ചകള്ക്കൊപ്പം.ഈ മേഖലയുടെ സമൂഹിക-<br />
