font-size: 88%; border-style: solid; border-width: 1px 1px 1px 4px; border-radius: 0.33em; border-color: #a3d3ff; vertical-align: top; white-space: pre-wrap;"><div><ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">ഒരു നൂറ്റാണ്ടു മുൻപ് വളപുരം ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ക്രാന്തദർശികളായ ഏതാനും മഹാത്മാക്കളുടെ നിസ്വാർത്ഥ പരിശ്രമത്തിന്റെ കഥയാണ് വളപുരം ജി എം യു പി സ്കൂളിന്റെ ചരിത്രം. ഈ കൊച്ചു ഗ്രാമത്തിന്റെ സാംസ്കാരിക ചരിത്രത്തിലെ സുപ്രധാന അധ്യായവും. കേരളപ്പിറവിക്കു മുൻപ് മദിരാശി സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് മലബാർ ജില്ലയിലെ വള്ളുവനാട് താലൂക്കിൽപ്പെട്ട കുരുവമ്പലം അംശത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണ് വളപുരം. 1950 കളുടെ ആദ്യം കുരുവമ്പലവും വളപുരവും പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയുടെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു. 1957-ൽ പുലാമന്തോൾ പഞ്ചായത്ത് രൂപീകൃതമായപ്പോ ഴും കുരുവമ്പലവും വളപുരവും അവയുടെ ഭാഗമായിത്തീർന്നു. പക്ഷേ, പെരിന്തൽമണ്ണ താലൂക്കും പുലാമന്തോൾ പഞ്ചായത്തും പഴയ പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയുടെ ഭാഗമായി തുടർന്നു. 1969-ൽ പുതുതായി മലപ്പുറം ജില്ല രൂപീകൃതമായപ്പോൾ പുലാമന്തോൾ പഞ്ചായത്ത് ജില്ലയുടെ തെക്കേ അറ്റത്തുള്ള പഞ്ചായത്തുകളിൽ ഒന്നായി. അങ്ങനെ വളപുരം മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയുടെ തെക്കേ അതിരുകളിൽ ഒന്നായി. </ins>വളപുരത്തിന്റെ <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">തെക്ക് തൂതപ്പുഴ യും വടക്ക് കുരു വമ്പലവും പടിഞ്ഞാറ് മൂർക്കനാട് പഞ്ചായത്തും കിഴക്ക് ചെമ്മലശ്ശേരി ഗ്രാമവുമാണ്. വളപുരം എന്ന പ്രദേശം കുരുവമ്പലം എന്ന പേരിലാണ് മുമ്പ് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. സ്കൂളിന്റെ പേര് </ins>വളപുരം <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">എൽ പി സ്കൂൾ എന്നാ യിരുന്നില്ല</ins>. <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">മറിച്ച് കുരുവമ്പലം എൽ </ins>പി <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">സ്കൂൾ എന്നായിരുന്നു</ins>. <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">ലഭ്യമായ വിവരമ നുസരിച്ച് </ins>1911<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">-</ins>ൽ കാവുവട്ടത്ത് <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">മുള്ളത്തുതൊടിക്കാരുടെ കൈവശമിരുന്ന പറമ്പിൽ </ins>ഹിന്ദു എലമെന്ററി സ്കൂൾ ആയി <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">പ്രവർത്തനം തുടങ്ങി. മലബാർ ഡിസ്ട്രിക്ട് ബോർഡിനു കീഴിലായിരുന്നു വിദ്യാലയം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ആദ്യകാലത്ത് </ins>ഈ <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">വിദ്യാലയം അന്നത്തെ നമ്പൂതിരി ജന്മി കുടുംബമായിരുന്ന അവുഞ്ഞിക്കാട്ടുമനയുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലായിരുന്നു. അന്നത്തെ കാരണവർ ബ്രഹ്മശ്രീ നീലകണ്ഠൻ ഭട്ടതിരിപ്പാടിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരുന്ന ആ സ്ഥാപനത്തിൽ രാവുണ്ണി നായർ, കുഞ്ഞുണ്ണി നായർ എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു അധ്യാപകർ.കുരുവമ്പലം വില്ലേജിലെ ഏക വിദ്യാലയമായിരുന്നതിനാൽ കുരുവമ്പലം, ചെമ്മലശ്ശേരി പ്രദേശത്തുള്ള കുട്ടികളും ഇവിടെ പഠിച്ചിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് 1940 കളിൽ ചെമ്മലശ്ശേരി, </ins>കുരുവമ്പലം<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">,പാലൂർ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ സ്കൂളുകൾ സ്ഥാപിതമായപ്പോൾ ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ കുട്ടികൾ കുറഞ്ഞു</ins>. <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">തന്മൂലം വിദ്യാലയ നടത്തിപ്പിലും താൽപര്യമില്ലാതായി</ins>. സ്കൂൾ <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">നിർത്തലാക്കാൻ തീരുമാനമുണ്ടായി</ins>. <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">എന്നാൽ നാട്ടുകാർക്ക് ഒരു വിദ്യാലയം വേണ്ട തിന്റെ ആവശ്യകത മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ അന്നത്തെ പട്ടാമ്പി വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ഉപജില്ലാ ഓഫീസറുടെ താൽപര്യപ്രകാരം, നാട്ടുകാരുടെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ ഏർക്കര മന വക സ്ഥലത്ത് ( ഇപ്പോൾ മുണ്ടനാട്ടുതൊടി) ഒരു താത്ക്കാലിക വാടക ക്കെട്ടിടത്തിൽ കുരുവമ്പലം ഗവൺമെൻറ് </ins>മാപ്പിള <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">ലോവർ പ്രൈമറി </ins>സ്കൂൾ <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">എന്ന പേരിൽ പ്രവർത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചു.സ്കൂളിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥാവകാശം അവുഞ്ഞിക്കാടു മനക്കാർ ഫർണീച്ചർ അടക്കം, സൗജന്യമായി സർക്കാരിലേക്ക് കൈമാറുകയും ചെയ്തു. മൂത്തകൊരമ്പ് നാരായണൻ നമ്പൂതിരി, എം. വി. ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണ വാര്യർ എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു അധ്യാപകർ. </ins></div></td></tr> <tr><td colspan="2" class="diff-side-deleted"></td><td class="diff-marker" data-marker="+"></td><td style="color: #202122; font-size: 88%; border-style: solid; border-width: 1px 1px 1px 4px; border-radius: 0.33em; border-color: #a3d3ff; vertical-align: top; white-space: pre-wrap;"><div><ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">1950 കളുടെ അവസാനത്തിൽ സ്കൂളുകൾക്ക് ഓലപ്പുര പോര, കൂടുതൽ സുരക്ഷിതമായ ഓടു മേഞ്ഞ കെട്ടിടം വേണമെന്ന സർക്കാർ നിർദ്ദേശം വന്നു.ആയതിന് നാട്ടുകാരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ കമ്മിറ്റി രൂപീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഈ കമ്മിറ്റി വളപുരം മദ്രസ്സയുടെ ഓടിട്ട കെട്ടിടം വാടകക്കെടുത്ത് താൽക്കാലികമായിസ്കൂൾ അതിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. എന്നാൽ വിദ്യാലയത്തിനായിസ്വന്തം സ്ഥലം കണ്ടെത്തുവാനും കെട്ടിടം നിർമ്മിക്കാനുമുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങൾ തുടർന്നു. പൊൽപ്പായ മനയ്ക്കൽ നാരായണൻ ഭട്ടതിരിപ്പാട് (പി.എം. ബി) ആയിരുന്നു പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയത്</ins>. 1962<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">-</ins>ൽ <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">അവുഞ്ഞിക്കാട്ടുമന ഇട്ടിണിക്കാളി അന്തർ ജനവും കല്ലേത്തൊടി പുറയം പള്ളിയാലിൽ കമ്മാലി ഹാജിയും കൂടി ഒരേക്കർ സ്ഥലം വിദ്യാലയത്തിന് സൗജന്യമായി വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു. ഈ സ്ഥലത്ത് ബ്ലോക്കിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ കെട്ടിടം പണിയുകയും, മദ്രസ്സയിൽ നിന്നും സർക്കാർ </ins>കെട്ടിടത്തിലേക്ക് <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">. ഈ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് നേതൃത്വം കൊടുത്തതും പി.എം.ഭട്ടതിരിപ്പാടും, ഹെഡ്മാസ്റ്ററായിരുന്ന എം. വി. കുട്ടി കൃഷ്ണവാര്യരു മായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് 15.10.1993 -ൽ വന്ന സർക്കാർ ഉത്തരവുപ്രകാരം ജി എം യു പി എസ് കുരുവമ്പലം എന്നത് ജി എം യു പി എസ് വളപുരം എന്നായി. മുസ്ലിം കലണ്ടറിൽ നിന്നും 2006 മുതൽ ജനറൽ കലണ്ടറിലാണ് സ്കൂൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുവരുന്നത്</ins>.</div></td></tr>  </table>
