ചീററൂര് നഗരത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയഭാഗത്തായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരുസര് ക്കാര് വിദ്യാലയമാണ് '''' എന്ന പേരിലാണ് പൊതുവെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. ബാസല് മിഷന് എന്ന ജര്മന് മിഷണറി സംഘം 1858-ല് സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഈ വിദ്യാലയം പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കമേറിയ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്.<br />

== ചരിത്രം ==<br />
1858 മെയില് ഒരു ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ലോവര് പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂള് എന്ന നിലയിലാണ് ഈ വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിതമായത്. ബാസല് ഇവാഞ്ചലിക്കല് മിഷന്റെ മിഷണറിയായ റവ. ജെ. സ്ട്രോബലാണ് വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. പോത്തനായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ പ്രധാന അദ്ധ്യാപകന്. 1860-ല് ഇതൊരു ആംഗ്ലോ-വെര്ണാകുലര് സ്കൂളായി. 1864-ല് മിഡില് സ്കൂളായും 1905-ല് ഹൈസ്കൂളായും ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെട്ടു. ഹൈസ്കൂളിന്റെ ആദ്യ പ്രധാന അദ്ധ്യാപകനായ റവ ടി. മാവുവിന്റെ രൂപകല്പനയിലും മേല്നോട്ടത്തിലും വിദ്യാലയത്തിന്റെ ഇപ്പോള് നിലവിലുള്ള പ്രധാന കെട്ടിടം നിര്മിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. 2000-ത്തില് വിദ്യാലയത്തിലെ ഹയര് സെക്കണ്ടറി വിഭാഗം പ്രവര്ത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചു.<br />

മൂന്ന് ഏക്കര് ഭൂമിയിലാണ് വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഹൈസ്കൂളിന് 5 കെട്ടിടങ്ങളിലായി 41 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളും ഹയര് സെക്കണ്ടറിക്ക് ഒരു കെട്ടിടത്തിലായി 6 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളുമുണ്ട്. അതിവിശാലമായ ഒരു കളിസ്ഥലം വിദ്യാലയത്തിനുണ്ട്.<br />
