മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ കൊണ്ടോട്ടി താലൂക്കിൽ, മുതുവല്ലൂർ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിൽ, മുണ്ടക്കുളം എന്ന പ്രദേശത്താണ് നമ്മുടെ വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഒരു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനം എന്ന നിലയിൽ മാത്രമല്ല, മുണ്ടക്കുളം പ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ സാംസ്‌കാരിക സ്ഥാപനം കൂടിയാണ് ഈ വിദ്യാലയം എന്നത് ഏറെ അഭിമാനകരമായ കാര്യമാണ്.

ചരിത്രം

ബഹുമാന്യനായ സി.എച്ച് മുഹമ്മദ് കോയ സാഹിബിന്റെ നാമോദയത്തിൽ 1984-ൽ സി.എച്ച് മുഹമ്മദ് കോയ മെമ്മോറിയൽ യു.പി സ്കൂൽ നിലവിൽവന്നു. മുണ്ടക്കുളം മദ്രസയിൽ നിന്ന് 84 കുട്ടികെള 5-ാംക്ലാസിൽ ചേർത്തികൊണ്ട് സ്ഥാപനം തുടങ്ങി.

പി.ഉണ്ണിമൊയ്തീൻ കുട്ടി സാഹിബായിരുന്നു ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ മാനേജർ. വീരാൻകുട്ടി സി.പെന്നാട് ആയിരുന്നു ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ ഹെഡ്മാസ്റ്റർ.ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ ഇന്നെത്തെ ഉയർച്ചക്കും വളർച്ചക്കും കാരണം നല്ലവരായ നാട്ടുകാരുടെ സഹായ സഹകരണങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടു മാത്രമാണ് എന്നതിൽ സംശയമില്ല. എല്ലാ നൻമക്കും പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്ന നിഷ്കളങ്കരായ ഒരു ജന സമൂഹവും അവരുടെ മക്കളുമാണ് ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ ഇന്നത്തെ മുതൽ കൂട്ട്. 84 കുട്ടികളുമായി തുടങ്ങിയ ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിൽ ഇന്ന് 627 കുട്ടികൾ പഠിക്കുന്നു. മെറ്റല്ലാ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിലും കുട്ടികൾ കുറയുമ്പോൾ കഴിഞ്ഞ 3 വർഷമായി 45 കുട്ടികൾ വീതം ഓരോ വർഷവും വർധിച്ചു വരുന്നതിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവർത്തനതതിന് നാട്ടുകാർ തരുന്ന അംഗീകാരമായി ഞങ്ങൾ കരുതുന്നു. ചിട്ടയായ പഠനവും മികച്ച ശിക്ഷണവും എവിടെയുണ്ടോ അവിടെ രക്ഷിതാക്കൾ കുട്ടികളെ എത്തിക്കുമെന്നതിന് തെളിവാണ് നമ്മുടെ വിദ്യാലയം. സ്കൂൾ എത്ര അകലെയാണെന്നത് അവരെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം പ്രശ്നമേയല്ല.ഇന്ന് വിദ്യാലയാന്തരീക്ഷം കുട്ടികൾക്ക് സ്വന്തവും, ഭയരഹിതവുമായ വിജ്ഞാനം നേടാൻ ഉപയുക്തമായി മാറിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. സ്വയം നിർമ്മിത പഠന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെടാൻ അധ്യാപകർ കുട്ടികളെ സഹായിക്കുന്നു. ശിശു കേന്ദ്രീകൃതമായ അധ്യാപനം അവന്റെ ചിന്താ ശക്തിയെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയും സ്വയം തീരുമാനമെടുക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഒരു പാഠ്യ പദ്ധതിയാണ് നിലവിലുള്ളത്. എന്തു പഠിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിനെക്കാൾ എങ്ങനെ പഠിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിനാണ് ഇന്ന് പ്രാധാന്യം. ഇതിന് അധ്യാപകരുടെയും രക്ഷിതാക്കളുടെയും പിന്തുണ കുട്ടിക്ക് ആവശ്യമാണ്. അത്തരം പിന്തുണാ സംവിധാനമുള്ള വിദ്യാലയങ്ങൾ നിലവാരത്തിൽ മുന്നിലെത്തുന്നു.വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പ്രക്രിയയിൽ ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയുടെ സ്വാധീനവും ഐ.ടി പഠനവും ഒഴിച്ചു നിർത്താൻ സാധ്യമല്ല. ഐ.ടി ഒരു പഠനവിഷയമായി ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രൈമറി തലം മുതൽ തന്നെ കുട്ടികൾ ഐ.ടി പഠനം ആരംഭിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. അതിന് സ്കുൾ സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കേണ്ടതാണ് .നമ്മുടെ വിദ്യാലയം ഈ മേഖലകളിൽ വളരെ മുമ്പ് തന്നെ പ്രവർത്തനം തുടങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അക്ഷയ സെന്റർ സ്കുളിൽ തന്നെ തുടങ്ങിയത് ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിട്ടാണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഭാഷാ പഠനത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ട് വളരെ നേരത്തെ തന്നെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് മീഡിയം ക്ലാസുകൾ തുടങ്ങാൻ നമുക്ക് സാധിച്ചു. നമ്മുടെ വിദ്യാലയം 25 വർഷം പിന്നിടുമ്പോൾ ഒരു പാട് നേട്ടങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞതിൽ വളരെയധികം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു. അമീൻ സാബിത്ത്.ടി, ജൗഫിയ, അബ്ദുൾ ബായിസ്, റ‍‍‍ഷാ ഫാത്തിമ്മ പോലുള്ള കുട്ടികൾ പല മേഖലകളിലും സംസ്ഥാന തലത്തിൽ വിജയം വരിച്ച് ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പഠിച്ചിറങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ പഠിച്ചവരിൽ ഡോക്ടർമാർ എഞ്ചിനീയർമാർ സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ ഉന്നതിയിലെത്തിയ ധാരാളം പേർ, സാമൂഹിക സാംസ്കാരിക രംഗങ്ങളിൽ ഉയർന്ന ഒട്ടനവധി പേർ- അഭിമാനാർഹമാണ് ഈ നേട്ടങ്ങൾ.ഇന്ന് കായിക പരിശീലനത്തിന് ഏറ്റവും പ്രാധാന്യമേറിവരികയാണ്. കായിക പരിശീലനത്തിന് അനുഗ്രഹമായി വിശാലമായ ഗ്രൗണ്ടുള്ളത് നമ്മുക്ക് വലിയൊരു നേട്ടമാണ്.1991 ജനുവരി 1 മുതൽ സ്കുളിന്റെ പ്രധാനാധ്യാപകനാകാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞതിൽ ഞാൻ വളരെയധികം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു. എനിക്ക് സഹപ്രവർത്തകരായി കിട്ടിയത് പ്രഗത്ഭരായ അധ്യാപകരെയാണ്. അതുപോലെ കുറെ നല്ല കുട്ടികളും. കുട്ടികളുടെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ കാര്യത്തിൽ രക്ഷിതാക്കൾ പണ്ട് മുതലെ വലിയ താൽപര്യം കാണിക്കാറുണ്ട്. അതുകൊണ്ട് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ രംഗത്ത് വൻ ഉയർച്ച തന്നെ നമ്മുടെ പ്രദേശത്ത് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇന്ന് നമ്മുടെ പ്രദേശത്ത് ഹൈസ്കുളിന്റെ കുറവ് നന്നായി അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തിൽ പുതിയ 2 ഹൈസ്കുൾ വന്നിട്ടും പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ യു.പി സ്കുൾ ആയ നമ്മുടെ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഒരു കുട്ടി പോലും പുതിയതായി അനുവദിച്ച സ്കുളിൽ ചേർന്നിട്ടില്ല. കുട്ടികൾ ഉപരിപഠനത്തിനായി വളരെയധികം ക‍ഷ്ട്ടപ്പെടുന്നത് ദയനീയമായ ഒരവസ്ഥ തന്നെയാണ്.USS പരിശീലനം കുട്ടികളുടെ പഠന രേഖ, പ്രത്യേക പൊതുവിജ്ഞാന ക്ലാസുകൾ, ഗൃഹ സന്ദർശനം, കുട്ടികളിൽ സേവന തൽപരതയും നേതൃ പാഠവും വളർത്താൻ സ്കൗട്ട് & ഗൈഡ്, സ്കുൾ പാർലമെന്റ്, കുട്ടികളുടെ സമ്പാദ്യ ശീലം വളർത്താൻ അഫ്ളാത്തുൺ സംഘങ്ങൾ, ചിട്ടയായ കായിക പരിശീലനം, വിവിധ ക്ലബ്ബുകൾ തുടങ്ങിയവ നല്ല നിലയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു വരുന്നു.


HISTORY

CH MUHAMMED KOYA MEMORIAL UPPER PRIMERY SCHOOL was sanctioned in 1984 by the attempt made by P. Seethi Haji,the MLA. P.Unni Moideen Haji was the founder manger. And the first school bearing the name of CH.MUHAMMED KOYA MEMORIAL started functioning on May 19 th 1984.P.Veeran kutty was the first headmaster.

Our instituition has a history of 33 years.We have been fortunate enough in imparting education and insight to thousand over these years.This school is situated in a socially and economically backward area was fortunate enough in moulding Doctors, Engineers, H.S, H.S.S teachers, and Professional of high cadre in the society. This institution had a very humble beginning, started temporally in a Madrassa hall with 84 students at Mundakkulam town and then changed to a temporary shed in this present site. From this temporary shed it developed into 4 building with all facilities. It has a well equipped Lab, Library, Playground and Garden. It also has a school bus on its own. English medium classes began from the year 2003 onwards. There are altogether 4 divisions in each class from STD v to STD vii. This institution came into being with 84 students and 3 teachers. There are at present 652 students and 23 teachers to its credit. This School gives great importance to the development and promotion of culture, sports, character formation and personality development. We are associated with the full support of PTA and MPTA, which is always there with the authority and teaching staff for the betterment of the school. The co-operation between the teachers and parants has also been exemplary. Most of our students hail from Muslim community where the parents are indifferent to sending girls to school. This school has been situated away from town and girls are sent to this school from the neighborhood and far off places. Most of the students are first generation learners. It is greatly to the credit of the Management Committee that they started a school in such a socially and economically backward region. The students developed themselves in all aspects which in turn paved the way for the development of community and society as a whole. Our school has been awarded the Sub-district overall championship in the sports and arts in many times. Our students also participate in the Science, Social science, Maths fair every year and win occasionally.

The School aims at playing a pivotal role in disseminating knowledge and uplifting the backward in educational, cultural and social spheres and farming leaders who are intellectually competent, morally upright, psychologically integrated, physically healthy and socially acceptable, who will champion the cause of justice, love, truth and peace and who are ever open to further growth.

Nature Club: Nature Club function effectively with a view to make the pupils learn the significance of protection of environment and develop interest towards farming.

Maths club: It is useful in arousing and maintaining interest in mathematics and sensitizing students on the importance of doing mathematics.

Social Science club: Social Science Club aims at instilling democratic values and love of country in students

Science Club: Science Club aims at improving the inventive capabilities of students and to develop an interest towards Science.

Sports Club: The Sports club is very active. The school excels in the sports field. The club encourages the sports children to excel in sports. We have been the champions in sports for many years. Our student Najia secured a first place in the Academic year 2008-’09.

English Club: English club promotes to handle English communication and language. We introduced Communicate at ease in English Programme for students in the previous academic year.

Vidya Rangam: The objective of Vidya Rangam Kala Sahitya Vedi is to discover the potentialities of students and promote them. The activities are formulated for Library Empowerment and develop interest towards reading.

Gandhi Darshan: Gandhi Darshan Club functions to make the students associate themselves which Gandhian Principles and ideals

Noon feeding programme: Around 700 students participate in the Noon Feeding Programme conducted in the school. Eggs and Milks are also provided twice in a week. Days of National importance-Independence Day, Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day etc. This school comprises of students from the two communal belts and hence Onam, Ramzan, are celebrated with religious fervour. Various orientation programmes are conducted in this institution with a view to boost up the spiritual and moral values in teachers, parents and students.
