Let’s Save Our ‘Home’     We live on Planet Earth and so Earth is our Mother. But do we really take care of our Mother? Do we love her? The answer is a sad “NO”. Our environment is not at all hygienic. It is all because of our activities. Almost most of our activities are of a destructive nature and are affecting the plant and animal lives. But we should protect and conserve our ‘Big Home’ - Our Green Planet. One way is to use non conventional energy resources such as solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy etc.to the maximum. Using solar charged vehicles and going for eco friendly bicycles and rickshaws are possible ways to control air pollution. Another best way to reduce pollution is planting trees. Trees give us shade and pure air to breathe in. They are homes to birds, animals and even insects. They gift us with fruits too. The roots of the trees bind the soil together and save the land from erosion. If they were many trees in our state during the floods of 2018 and 2019, we wouldn’t have suffered this much. So shouldn’t we start planting trees and taking care of them for our security? Our cities are filled with garbage and mostly plastic wastes. What should children like us do? We ourselves should stop the use of plastic items. We should use bags and materials made of cloth, glass, paper and jute. These are eco friendly materials. Except glass, other materials are not harmful to the environment and are bio degradable. These are only some ways of making our Earth a better, safer and pollution free place. Let us engage in such good activities to make our “Home” a perfect place for all living beings.
