*WORLD IN THE FACE OF A PANDEMIC*     The lives of people worldwide came to a standstill by the outbreak of the deadly corona virus. People all around the globe are living with fear in their minds and a hope for a better tomorrow. The world is facing major problems in the economic sector as well as in the agricultural sector. The first virus case was reported in wuhan,china. The disease is called COVID 19(Corona Virus disease 2019), It spread rapidly like forestfire. Slowly,it got transported to other countries by the migration of people. Now it has emerged as a pandemic which took over more than half of the globe. No cure has been invented so far. So the only thing people can do is to take necessary precautions to create a barrier for the virus and to break the chain of spreading.The Government had made enough protection to the people,declared lock down for 21days, but the spread of disease led the government to extend the lock down for 14 more days.The people who are leading a miserable life due to poverty is in the hands of Government. It has killed more than 80,000 people in the world.An increasing safety measures is a good relief. Corona has affected kerala in January 2020. In kerala, the most corona cases are reported in kasargod district. Other districts are also affected. Currently Government has classified the districts as zones on the basis of the number of corona cases in that districts. Trivandrum, the capital city come under the third category or the tertiary zone. Idukki and Kottayam comes under the Green zone or the safe zone. Adequate measures are taken for controlling the disease.
