Corona in Kerala

Corona virus disease (COVID 19) is an infections disease caused by a newly discovered corona virus. The virus is mainly spread through droplets generated when an infected person sneezes, coughs or exhales. The first case of corona virus pandemic in India was confirmed in the state of Kerala, on 30th January 2020. But the state was able to handle it effectively which was appreciated by the country and the world. The second wave of the disaster struck the state on 8th march 2020. At present there have been 447 confirmed case with 308 recoveries and 3 deaths in the state. Kerala has the lowest mortality of 0.45% among all the states in India. It is also the lowest in the world. The government of Kerala introduced a new initiative called ‘Break the chain’ champaign which helped to reduce the spread of the virus. This aims to educated people about the importance of public and personal hygiene. The healthy practices like use of masks, sanitizers, soaps and social distancing can keep corona away.
