Cleanliness Cleanliness is important in one's life. Cleanliness means keeping one's body, dress, surroundings, and mind clean. Cleanliness is one's precious possession. Cleanliness of body is necessary for Physical health. Diseases begin with dirt. A person who never wash himself, who wear dirty clothes and keep his house and surroundings dirty will lose health. Disease germs multiply in dirt. People who are not clean are sure to get dangerous and sometimes even serious diseases. Contagious diseases are caused due to the dirty habits and surroundings of people. Regular washing of hands and face, frequent bathing and wearing of clean clothes are the conditions of good health. We can prevent the spread of many diseases if we do regular cleaning.Cleanliness is also necessary for self respect and for getting respect from others. A man who doesn't wash and wear dirty clothes, cannot feel proud of himself. Other people cannot respect him. A person who is not clean and neat cannot mix with a descent society. It is an insult to respectable people to them to be friendly with a man who is never clean. Cleanliness makes a person popular. It is a sign of noble souls. A Man of clean habits love God and others .The character of a man without cleanliness cannot be standardized. Today there are laws to promote cleanliness. One has to acquire clean habits from childhood onwards. The wearing of clean dress adds beauty to one's personality. Cleanliness of mind is also important .As we keep our body clean ,we must also keep our mind clean. Dirt is a symbol of evil and cleanliness is a symbol of Purity. A man may be clean in body but if his mind is full of evil and dirty thoughts he is a dirty man .One must be clean in mind and body. Clean man can be a friend of all people. There is a proverb "Cleanliness is next to Godliness". God is a source of all goodness.
