COVID-19: A CHALLENGE

The pandemic which recently pushed us into maintaining social distancing, but the challenge is also to remain hyper connected via the internet and isolate COVID-19”

There are many challenges such as environmental degradation, poverty of rural people, backwardness, corruption etc. but these challenges are opportunities too. One such challenge that we face today is the outbreak of corona virus. Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered corona virus. Most people infected with this disease will experience mild to moderate respiratory disease and recover without requiring special treatment. Severe illness is being caused for older people and people having cardio vascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease and cancer. Being well informed about the corona virus is the best way to slow down the transmission. As of now, there seems to be no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19 rather than ongoing clinical trials. The virus spread primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose. Lest better to follow respiratory etiquette. This virus termed corona was first reported in Wuhan, China. Gradually it spread to other countries. At last, the virus has expanded to touch nearly every corner of the globe. The death toll keeps increasing in each country. The least death toll is experienced in India. America is such a wealthy country but when a virus spread into the nook and corner ,India recovered the most . Kerala is reporting the least death toll and having less infected people is just because of the rules implemented by the State Government and the central government. Now it’s necessary for other countries to consider the health systems of Kerala as an epitome. Each and every person irrespective of their caste, religion, etc are suffering equally during this lockdown and look forward for better days by abiding the rules. We must be grateful for having such dedicated doctors, nurses and health operators. Wash your hands regularly with soap andq water, or clean them with alcohol based hand rub, maintain at least 1m distance between you and people next to you, avoid touching your face, cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing are the precautions to be taken along. Slow down the spread of corona virus with the safety measures. It’s better to practice the health systems of Kerala. We all should contribute something useful for the betterment of the world. If you feel any symptoms, please make sure that you visit the nearby hospital and it’s better to be home quarantine for some more days and thereby following the rules of central and state governments. Be the part of BREAK THE CHAIN Campaign. Stay home and save life.
