Covid-19 Covid-19 is a disease caused by the new Corona virus that emerged in China in December 2019. Covid-19 symptoms include cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle ache,sore throat, unexplained loss to taste or smell,diarrohea and headache. Covid-19 can be severe and some cases have caused death.The new Corona virus can be spread from person.It is diagnosed with a laboratory test. There is no Corona virus vaccine yet. Prevention involves frequent handwashing, coughing into the bend of your elbow, staying home when you are sick and wearing a cloth face covering if you can't practice social distancing. Corona virus are a group of related viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds.In humans, corona viruses cause respiratory tract infection that can range from mild to severe.Mild illnesses includes some cases of the common cold (which has other possible causes, predominantly rhino viruses). While more lethal varieties can cause SARS,MERS and Covid-19 symptoms in other species vary in chickens ,they cause and upper respiratory tract disease . There are yet to be vaccines or anti-viral drugs to prevent or treat human Corona virus infections. Meera S.
