Brushing Teeth I like when people smile at me, and I like to smile back. I can smile with a great big smile because I have clean, shiny teeth. To keep my smile clean, I brush my teeth two times every day: in the morning and right before bed. I have a blue toothbrush, and my mom gets my favorite toothpaste, the kind with a stripe. To start, I put a dot of toothpaste on the bristles of my toothbrush. Then I use the brush to brush up and down and side to side. I make sure I brush the front of my teeth and behind my teeth, and I brush the teeth in the front of my mouth and the teeth in the back. I even brush my tongue. Then I spit out the toothpaste and take a sip of water to rinse my mouth out.
