Corona Virus, A case study in the state                    The 2019-20 Corona virus pandemic is an ongoing pandemic of Corona virus disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome. This virus is spread mainly due to closed contact ,by small droplet produced during coughing sneezing or talking etc. Effort to prevent the virus spread include lock down,isolation, quarantine, curfew etc.                    Corona virus was first confirmed in India on January 30, 2020 in the state of Kerala. The State contained this case by simple isolation/ quarantine. But later there was a sudden outbreak on march 8 at Pathanamthitta when a family had returned from Italy with Covid 19. It spread to some other part of the state also. This was the second beginning of our war against this virus. The state administration mainly with the health minister and the medical team started their service with a systematic planing and assessment. It was at this stage the country has declared the Janata curfew on 22nd march, which was a stepping stone to fight against this war. But Kerala state reported a constant number of cases from 20th onwards which has compelled the state to go for a complete lock down on march 23rd . On the next day itself Prime minister of India ordered a nation wide lock down for 21 days until April 14. The number of confirmed patients in Kerala from the day of march 8 to April 5 is shown below. The number of confirmed patients in Kerala                    March-8 was the beginning of this pandemic disease in the state. From march 8 to 17,the disease report was in a random pace. But later this situation had changed, from 17th onwards there was a sudden hike in positive cases.
