THE LOST SHADOWS

A small boat was moving on its own towards a village. The villagers got shocked, a
baby was in the boat. Seeing that, our village savior, Reghunath, felt sad for the kid. He
said bring that lonely boy to me, "I will raise him as my own son" and then he held him
in his hands and finally gave a name to him "my Rishi".
It was the dawn of 17th century. A strange traveler came to India. He discovered a sea
route to India. The Indians welcomed him as guest. At that time, India was rich. The
Dutch, Portuguese were overwhelmed by the exotic spices and other valuables in this
country. After a few years later, a huge warship landed. This time, they were redcoats
(British).
They were looking friendly and wanted to do business in this country. After a few years,
they made our India under their control. British brought their technologists and built
roads, cars, steam engines etc. India was completely changed. Then, the British
changed their friendly nature. They wanted to be very rich and exploit this country, so
they started keeping new rules and started to levy heavy tax burden on our people. If
they did not obey, they will be severely punished or killed. People were troubled to a
great extent.
At that time, we did not have many heroes to save us. Reghunath was one of that kind
to help and remove sorrow of the people. Reghunath attacked a British camp and killed
many British men. They termed him as a wanted criminal. Finally, they killed him.
Reghunath's son Rishi was sad of his father's sudden death and wants to avenge those
responsible for that. Rishi became a warrior. In the eyes of people, he was kind and
good. The villagers loved him.
He robbed the British and helped the poor by that money. He threw rocks at British
jeeps and hid himself. His mother was not happy with her son's behavior. She told him,
"son, I love you so much and I don't want to lose you like my husband."
'Mom,I am doing this for the benefit of our people." Even if I die, my hands will soak in
British blood, I am proud son of my father."
Rishi left his home. At that time, British was searching for most wanted criminals. They
found him. He did not give up. He swung his sword and killed many soldiers. His father's
words and blessings were always with him. He held the sand and said, get away you
worthless red coat fools, this is my land. At last, they shot him dead, but he held a hand
full of wet sand dyed with blood of the soldiers.
The soldiers searched his house and tried to kill his mother, but she escaped with his
little brother to a forest and safely hid him, but she was shot dead by the soldiers, but
the child was safe.
He grew in the forest like Tarzan befriending the animals and learned so many tasks
and some survival tricks himself. He used climbers as ropes and climbed the trees and
learned to use sharp branches of trees as weapons. Rishi and his brother looked almost
the same.
One day, a British officer came with his daughter to the forest. He came to the forest to
cut down the trees and built a city in the forest, but he was about to be attacked by a
fierce lion, the boy saw them and saved their life. They thanked the boy and left.
After a few days, he came with some men and began to cut down the trees. The boy
saw this and asked them to hold on and warned them. He told them that they have no
right to enter and destroy our peace, the poor animals. Only thing, they have is this
forest.
They said, ''shut up you tribal!''.Our hero said, ''I may look poor, but my heart is kind and
pure as this forest. Animals too have the right to live like us! I don't want to destroy
anyone's peace. I saved your life, now it is your turn to play the role.''
The British officer said we are leaving the forest, but we will build the city when you are
dead.
Seeing the kind nature of the forest savior and as he resembles Rishi, a stranger who
was witnessing all these came to him after the officials left. He said, "I will reveal your
real past, your true identity. Boy, you are actually the son of Sir William John, a famous
pianist, who could change anyone's mood by just his piano tunes.
Your father had a brother called Johan Smith. He loved to trouble your father and grab
all his wealth. One day, he killed your father, but before that your father saved your life
by keeping you in a small boat.
Then, that boat reached the village and that is how Reghunath saved you and adopted
you. The worthless British killed your step parents. The British General Martin Hawain
killed your parents. The boy's blue eye turned red and he shouted ''Where is he now? I
will find him and kill him".
He secretly reached the city and found the Martin and his gang. He somehow grabbed
some weapons from the camp and fought against Martin and his men. He threw a hand
full of sand soaked with blood of Indians to their faces and said, ''get away you
worthless redcoats'' and burned them alive.
He looted their wealth and gave it to the poor like his brother and liberated the citizens.
The real truth was Forest savior was not the son of William John. He was the real son of
Reghunath and Rishi was the son of William John. Even then, Rishi and Village savior
are the lost shadows .
