BOOK REVIEW Review of book The Trails of Apollo-The Hidden Oracle The recent book I read is The Trails if Apollo-The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan. The book comes in series, with 4 more books in this series. The protagonist of this book is Apollo the Greek god, son of Greek god Zues and goddesLeto. Another important figure in this book is Meg McCaffrey an eleven year old girl who is a demigod(offspring of a diety and a mortal). This book throughout covers the adventures of Apollo and Meg. Apollo has been cast down from Olympus (home of gods) as a sixteen year old boy as a punishment, into a dumpster in New York. Apollo seeks help of Meg to reach CampHalfBlood(training centre of Greek demigods) to reach back to Olympus. But soon he realized that demigods have been going missing from camp and that the all-seeing oracle has fallen to a mysterious enemy only known as 'The Beast'. Apollo has to protect the final oracle hidden away for millennia (1000 years). If Apollo fails, the future will be controlled by the beast and the worst, Apollo will be stuck as a teenager boy named Lester Papadupolous forever! The book is very exciting to read as it consists of unexpected thrills and humour. The author of this book, Rick Riordan is also called as 'the storyteller of gods'. He writes based on Greek and Roman mythology. Percy Jackson and The Heroes of Olympus were New York Times bestsellers. I strongly recommend this to readers who like to read books with humour and literary narrative techniques.
