1870 ഫെബ്രുവരി 15 ന് ഒരു ലോവര്‍ പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂള്‍ എന്ന നിലയിലാണ് ഈ വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിതമായത്. വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിച്ചത് | 1870 ഫെബ്രുവരി 15 ന് ഒരു ലോവര്‍ പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂള്‍ എന്ന നിലയിലാണ് ഈ വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിതമായത്. വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിച്ചത് കൊച്ചി മഹാരാജാവി ന്റെ കാലത്തായിരുന്നു. ശ്രീനിവാസനായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ പ്രധാന അദ്ധ്യാപകന്‍.ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തില്‍ യുപി, എച്ച്.എസ്, ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറി ,വൊക്കേഷണല്‍ ഹയര്‍ സെക്കന്‍ഡറി വിഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചുവരുന്നു. | ||
