JOHNNY'S FAVOURITE LUNCH BOX
There was a boy named Johnny.His father died two years back.He had a lunch box with him.It was his favorite as it was gifted by his father. Its shape and look attracted everybody's eyes.The fellow members of his class at school liked it very much.
One day at the hour of meal breaks,lunch box was found missing.He searched for it everywhere in the classroom.Yes,it was missing.He became so sad and he couldn't help crying. On seeing him crying, his friends asked him, " What happened to you Johnny?" "My lunch box is missing.It was my fathers last gift", he replied sorrowfully.
His friend burst into laughing hearing his reply. "Johnny, you could buy another one. You can have your lunch with me today. I will share mine." He consold Johnny.
As the bell rang teacher came to the class.Johnny was still crying. Teacher,on seeing it,asked, "Why are you crying? What is the problem?" Johnny said: "Mam my lunch box was missing. It was my dad's last gift.It was my favorite one,mam."
Teacher then said: " We will somehow find it,Johnney.Don't worry my boy". They all together looking started looking for it. All their searching went futile. Johnney's eyes welled up with tears. No sooner had one of his friend in the class come infront of Johnny and said to him than the teacher thought of the other means to find his lunch box. "Please forgive me.It is me who stole your lunch box.Your lunch box is very beautiful. I couldn't resist myself from stealing it. Please accept my apology, Johnny." Johnny then said: " it's okay my dear friend.I am accepting your apology.
I am very happy now."
The teacher who sees all these, warned Johnny's friend who stole the lunch box that if he repeated it, he would be given punishment. He assured the teacher that nothing of the sort would happen again.
Then Johnney unfurled the story behind lunch box to the whole class.
""The lunch box was my dad's last gift.Immediately after it was given, my father died. It's been two years since he died. I still love my dad. I see my dad in this beautiful gift. I just can't even think of losing ir. It has became a part of mine."
On hearing the story,the teacher said: "Johnny you are so lovely.I like to have a boy like you." School got over and Johnney got at his home.All that happened in the class was narrated to his mother.Her eyes were filled with tears.She said : " I didn't know you loved your dad this much. Love you my son."
Thereafter Johnny and his mother lived together very happily in the memories of his dad.
