COVID-19 PANDEMIC an epidemic is a rapid spread of disease to a large number of people in a given population within a short period of time. Plague ,Ebola .Small pox, Cholera, Tuberculosis, SARS ,MERS, NIPAH ete were epidemic diseases. an epidemic may be restricted to one location ,if it spread to other contries or continents and affect a substatila number of people it may be termed a pandemic disease. Zika virus Hiv ete were pandemic diseases. people are overcoming many types of pandemic every year. this year we are facing a new deadly disease called COVID -19. the corona virus outbreak came to light on december 2019 when china informed the WHO of a cluster of unknown cases of pneumonia in Wuhan City of Hubei province. it has been spread to the india also. in india the fisrt case of covid is reported in thrissur in Kerala. Covid 19 virus spread primarily through droplets of body fliuds when an affected person cough or sneeze. So it is important to practice respiratory etiquettes . Most of the people who got affected experienced the symptoms such as fever ,cough and difficulty while breathing. The people will get tired and dry cough . without special treatment many people have recoversd from it. But the safety of a person is in their hand. Genaraly this disease is affeceted to people who are low in their immuniyt. there is no vaccine for this disease. The best way to prevent and slow down the transmission is be well informed about the virus ,how it spread. Protect yourself and others from the infection by washing your hands or rubbing using alcohol based sanitizers. we can protect our selves and others from corona virus by maintaining social distance. we should wear mask and stay home and isolate ourselves.Corona virus has a great impact on world economy. Financial problem affects almost all families .there are some positives in this difficult time .People realised that rich and poor are equal in front of a crisis like COVID.People started gerdening ,cultivating vegetables etc.Ther is a great reduction in environmaetal pollution . the valuable efforts and services taken by Goverment ,health department,police department ,media,other volunteers are really appreciable. Kerala state is better equipped to deal with crisis than most other places. We will over come this crisis also jist like we defeated flood and nipahvirus. .............................
