Eradication of viral diseases
Many type of viral diseases are discovered in the world till now. Some of them are chicken pox, influenza, Nippa, HIV, measles, Mumps, rubella, Pneumonia, hepatitis, Ebola, Covid 19 etc. Covid-19 is a deadly viral disease.
Corona virus disease 2019 (covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2(SARS-COV-2).The disease was first identified in December 2019 at Wuhan city in China. First the virus was named novel corona virus. But now its covid-19.The transmission of these viruses are done by close contact and respiratory droplets from cough and sneeze.People may sick with the virus for 1-14 days before developing symptoms.The most common symptoms are dry cough,fever,fatigue,shortness of breath.Other symptoms are loss of smell,sore throat,muscle pain,diarrhoea etc.But some people don't show the symptom of covid-19,because they have more immunity power.But they can carry this virus and spread to others.The corona virus can survive on surface up to 72 hours.Currently there is no vaccine or specific antiviral treatment for covid-19.Recommended preventive measures are frequent hand washing with liquid soap,quarantine,physical distance from others,use mask while visiting public places,avoid crowded places etc."Stay home Save life".
This virus is spreading all around the world, so to stop the spread of virus. we should keep personal hygiene and social hygiene. In Kerala we have a very good public health system. The present government including the medical staff,police etc are doing good job in controlling the epidemic.
