ravana's trick RAVANA'S TRICK Ravana,the King of Lanka, kidnapped Sita Devi, wife of Lord Rama. Rama, helped by his brother Lakshmana and an army of monkeys devoted to him, fought a mighty battle with Ravana to get Sita back. While Rama and Lakshmana shot a rain of arrows at Ravana, the monkey, led by sugriva, attacked him by throwing giant rocks,stones, and trees at him. Ravana felt himself becoming weaker and weaker under their attack. Suddenly, he thought of a plan to save himself. Using his magical powers, he created several figures of Rama and Lakshmana around him. The army of monkeys became confused. How could they attack Ravana when he appeared to be surrounded by figures of Rama and Lakshmana? Ravana smiled triumphantly at their confusion, for he felt that he was safe now. Lord Rama saw the confusion among the monkeys. He picked up his bow and sent an arrow that went through all the false figures, and made them disappear. The army gave a shout of victory, and started attacking Ravana again!!
