Hygiene refers to good practice and rituals that prevent disease and leads to good health. One personal benefit of good hygiene is having better health.keeping our body clean helps prevents illness and infection from bacteria or virus .example the simple act of washing our hands regularly is an effective way to keep germs from spreading. Washing the body to remove dirt and germs brushing the teeth to keep them clean, shaving ,using the toilet properly, and dressing correctly are some example. proper hygiene is often taught to children at a young age and it becomes a habit Types of personal hygiene Toilet hygiene Shower hygiene Nail hygiene Teeth hygiene Hand hygiene Immunity is the balanced state of multicellular organisms having adequate biological defenses to fight infection, disease, or other unwanted biological invasion, while having adequate tolerance to avoid allergy, and autoimmune diseases. Two types of immunity exist active and passive Active immunity occurs when our immune system is responsible for protecting from a pathogen Passive immunity occurs when we are protected from a pathogen by immunity gained from someone else How does the immune system work step by step? When the body senses foreign substances the immune system works to recognise the antigens and get rid of them. B lymphocytes are triggered to make antibodies. These specialised protein lock in the specific antigen. Healthy ways to strengthen your immune system Don't Smoke Eat diet high in fruits and vegetables Exercise regularly Maintain a healthy weight Get adequate sleep Take steps to avoid infection such as washing your hands free cooking meals thoroughly Coronavirus disease covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub. Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth. Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, a cough, and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention. Call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.
