THE IMPACT     I sat on the side of the bed,one leg tucked neatly underneath me and the other dangled off the edge.I sat there staring at the sky through the window panel when a light breeze brushed the locks of my messy black hair.I remembered the days when my mom screams at the top of her voice to remind me that the time is running fast and I’m late for my school.I wish I could hear the clinging noise of vessels as my mom hurries to make my lunch and breakfast ready.I wish I could wake up lazily and curse myself that it’s Monday again. But now everything seems alike.There is no Monday, no Tuesday,no Wednesday,none of the days matters anymore.Not even day or night have any significance . It reminds me of all those movies that I’ve watched especially those about the doom day. I wonder!!!! Is this really the end.Even time stopped moving.Minute seems to be hours.Oh god does this ever end,does it even get any better. I came to my senses again when I heard my father turn the tv volume up,yeah it’s the same old news again . It’s been at least 2 weeks that we are hearing the news about this nasty new pandemic that’s been ruining the dreams of every single school kid like me. It’s not just us even the adults have been sitting in their rooms and trying to act normal when everyone knew that their life can’t be contained inside the 4 walls of our rooms.
