Thankless Snake     It was a winter morning. A farmer with his companions was going to his fields to start his day's work. "Look! A snake! I think it is dead," one of his companions said. "No, it is not dead!" The farmer said picking up the cold snake. "It's stiff because of the severe cold." "Then throw it away! It's poisonous!" Said another. But the farmer felt pity for it."No! This poor creature needs help. If it get some warmth it will be all right." With these words, the farmer put the snake in his coat pocket. After some time, the snake began to wriggle inside the pocket. "Oh it is saved!" The farmer was happy that he could save the snake. He put his hand into the pocket to take it out. But the snake plunged it's poisonous teeth into his hand. "Aaaah....." the farmer drew back his hand crying. " I shouldn't have shown pity to a snake". He wailed.
