National Flag and National Anthem
Our national flag is comprised of three colours .So it's knowur nationaln as the triranga which symbolizes freedom .In the national flag of india the top band is of saffrocolour,indicating the strength and courage of the country. The middle band is indicates peace and truth with Dharma Chakra in the center.The last band is green in colour shows the fertility,growth and auspiciousness of the land.The Dharmachakra is the wheel with consist of 24 lines situated in the middle of the white band of the national flag. It is one of the Ashtamangala of indian relegions such as Jainism,Buddism and Hinduism.It as represented the Buddist dharma,Gauthama Buddha's teaching of the path to Nirvana, since the time of early Buddism.

The ratio of width and length of the National flag is 2:3.This pattern was designed by fingali venkayya and accepted on 22nd july 1947. The 'Jana Gana Mana'which was written by the poet Ravindranath tagore,was accepted as our national anthem in 24th January 1950.This was sung at national congress of kolkatta in 27th December 1911 for the first time.The full song consists of five stanza,but only the first stanza is taken as national anthem.
