In search of the mysteries of the Qutub Minar
In July of 2019, I explored the capital of India- New Delhi with my family. It was not basically a leisure trip. We went to send off my elder sister at one of the most prestigious colleges of India - The Lady Sri Ram College in South Delhi. We stayed in Delhi for a couple of days so as to visit certain places that are regarded as "Must visit places in Delhi". It is a shame returning back to our homeland without enjoying the elegance of Delhi.
As we had only a limited time of stay in the state, we planned to take a day off and take a tour all around Delhi. And of course, the first place we popped in was the world's tallest brick minaret- The Qutub Minar. Cool breeze spread all over the Qutub complex. Wandering around the province I got to learn a lot of new facts about the historic monument.
The Qutub Minar is named after the person who began the construction of it - The first ruler of Delhi Sultanate - Qutubuddin Aibak. The construction started off by Aibak was taken over by his son-in-law Iltutmish and later completed by Firoz Shah Tughlaq. The Minar is also considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, the Minar steals the tourist's heart. The historic construction has an attractive entrance known as Alai Darwaza constructed by Alauddin Khalji. It is made of red sandstone and white marbles and has some inscriptions carved on it.
Even though it was a sunny day, the Qutub complex had its coolness and freshness. Anyone entering the complex would go out surely with positive energy filled in them. Green trees were found everywhere in the compound. The complex had not only Qutub Minar but also many other remarkable structures. The view is really fascinating. We can spend eternity enjoying its grace. The fresh wind and sweet fragrance around the area make the area more and more satisfying. Standing there in the middle of such a great masterpiece, nobody could make out whether they are in reality or an unrealistic dream.
No matter how busy you are or how stressed you are, once you enter the complex through the Alai Darwaza, you could never think of anything else than how beautifully structured each artwork is. Your mind gets completely soothed on viewing one of the most stunning sights in the world. You would feel like you are in a supernatural world. Without even knowing you would start observing every little thing about the Minar. The energy we attained from the Minar enables us to walk around the huge premises without getting tired or getting enough sight-seeing.
I entered the Minar with my Mother, father, and my sister. I had my camera safely around my neck and the camera bag in my hand. My mother, who was completely mesmerized by the visuals returned to her childhood and began innocently walking here and there and pointing out everything she found amazing and interesting. My sister was busy snapping pictures on her new I-phone for updating her Instagram story. To my surprise, even my dad who really doesn't have wanderlust mind was admiring the sight. Me, on the other hand, was capturing the flawless charm of the Qutub Minar in my Nikon DX3300 Digital Camera.

Everyone was busy with their little things. Those little things made them happy. This happiness would make their journey to Qutub complex stay in their hearts forever.❤️
