AN AGONY OF MOTHERHOOD
In a highly populated slums, at the banks of river Ganga, a small room covered with some bricks and sacks, was the home for 4 children and their parents. The father was working at a Construction field but still was unable to meet their daily needs. Among the 4 kids, Divya, 6 years old, was the elder child. The second one Jyothi was 5 years old, the third one was Devi and she was 4 years old and the youngest one was Kannan who was just 2 years old. They never enjoyed a school life, neither they have tasted costly bakery items, nor they had good clothes to wear.
Just three months ago, their life took a drastic change. The only bread earner of the family passed away in an accident at the construction field. Now the mother had to go out to work so that she could feed her little kids with at least a one time meal. She started working at people's house in nearty town as a housemaid washing their dirty clothes and plates leaning behind her little ones all alone Divya being the eldest child took the responsibility of taking care of their little siblings.
One day when the mother reached her working place, the security stopped her and said that today onwards no outsiders are allowed to enter into the apartments as the government has declared a nation wide lockdown due to the pandemic attack. So she had to leave the place without understanding why and how this situation has occused and was worried to what will happens further when the security said that the situation may not be solved in the near future. its she retused to her home, she saw a group of people surrounding a police officer, who was instructing them to stay at home and asked them not to go out of their house to keep them safe from this deadly disease. The officer said that this may take a lot of time to clear this problem as it was spread all over in the nation. Till then our colony is closed by the authorities.it's just 1 week now after the lockdown, the mother was very depressed and worried. Her young son kannan was crying very badly. Not only kannan, even Divya, Jyothi , Devi were all sad due to the hunger. Every day this childrens used to cry out of hunger and slept being tired of Crying . She tried to arrange some food from the neighbours but they didn't help as they were also facing the same situation. She lost all her hopes to live further and then she took the toughest dicsion. She called all her 4 kids and asked them not to try she told them that today she is going & arrange a great feast for them. They have to go to the banks of river Ganga . She took them there and asked them to take a good bath before the meal. Unknowing their mother's plan, they all happily jumped into the river to get a fresh bath but then their mother just took them to the depth of the river. She cried very loudly from the bottom of her heart when she saw the river was Swallowing her kids and her life but she could do nothing other than just leave it to their fate . hearing the hues and cries, many people gathered near the banks of riverthe but they could not save them. But that time, everything was over. The giver Ganga took them all far away from this dreadful living There are so many families like this who are suffering during this time of lock down. When we are bored of having the same meal, there are many people who don't have meal for earn one time. We should come together and help them. Let us all work together and provide food for the needy, this the need of this hour, let us all pray for them to give them peace from this stressful situation, Pray for their good health to keep them safe from the deadly disease spread over would wide. Let us all spread the ray of hope to them.
